MD, unsure of my complete date at the moment, and I am dead tired lol, sorry. I have submitted all of my secondary applications in <24 hrs after receiving them so probably a relatively early complete date.

@Seattleclimber how was burning man experience? what was some of the cooler artwork you saw? any truth to jack u getting boo'ed off while replacing seth troxler? pls been dying to go one time

I told myself I wouldn't act crazy and over-think things, but do you guys think it's okay to say you don't meet a particular competency, but you're willing to enroll in a course as part of a conditional acceptance offer? This is primarily about statistics; I don't have any type of course in that area and no significant research experience... Thanks for your input!

If you are talking about required courses (i.e X number of bio classes etc..) I'm pretty sure you just have to have completed them by the time you would matriculate. I'm not sur ehow this would be viewed by adcoms though. If it is just one class and you have a strong ap otherwise i expect it would be fine. Easiest thing to do would be to contact admissions office and ask about your particular situation to make sure.

Anybody hear back about student hosts?

Thank you. Sometimes I just need to hear some reasonable words from somebody else to counter the doubts in my mind haha.

Ha, no worries. Just remember, schools are not going to think less of you if you ask for clarification of stuff, just don't be that guy (or gal) who is calling every week.

Does anyone have an interview day schedule or link to it they can post here? i'm scheduled and I can't find the day's schedule anywhere.

I'm scheduled too, and all I know is that the day runs from 10 AM - 4:15 PM. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't give out the detailed schedule until you actually arrive.

If anyone has an interview here and wants recommendations on things to do, feel free to let me know. I've lived in boston for 4 years.

Still waiting on a II from here, but I'd be more than willing to help out!

PS: Uber is king in boston. Definitely get it if you're moving around. The T is pretty convenient as well, so you shouldn't have to use uber unless you want to. I love this city and am hoping to stick around if possible.

Lyft too or just uber?

Hotels are expensive in Boston!

Any adventurous soul interested in splitting hotel on 11/3 for an 11/4 interview?
I got a price break at the Double Tree Downtown. $195 total. $97.50 to split.

I'm female, 35, considerate, quiet sleeper, and quickly going broke!

Female only, please. PM me.

would people with interviews mind sharing the dates their applications were completed? on pins and needles over here..

Completed July 28th, invite September 16th. No interview spots available till November though..

Where are people staying here? I'm interviewing here on 10/16. Suggestions or someone looking to split a nice room? 24 male, might as well be freaking tinder up in here. Don't care if you are male or female, I'm not 12 anymore lol.

Feel free to pm me if interested.

Oh geez these invites are around my submission date! Maybe I'll hear something soon.
Do they do silent rejections? It seems so, based on their admissions page..

Congrats to everyone who is interviewing so far and good luck!

They don't do silent rejections. You get a rejection email eventually. Trust me I know from experience 🙁

Maine Track II today, complete 8/7. GPA 3.88, MCAT 34. Interviewing at MMC on Halloween.
I scheduled my maine interview right when I got the email, and I just logged back into the site (~9 hrs later) and there's a tab for "Sackler Interview" too with my SSN on it, but it says I haven't been invited for that one (...yet?). Did anyone have the sackler tab pop up before they received their Boston II? I'm interested in both tracks and I can't wait to see if I'll be interviewing in Boston too!!

Hey guys,

Had my interview with Tufts yesterday. Great, great atmosphere and school. They began the day with some information sessions. We heard a message from the dean and an inside look at the curriculum, amongst other things. Afterwards, we had lunch with a few medical students and we were able to talk with them about their experience at Tufts. Everyone loves Boston. They also really like the way they treat their students. Seems like the medical students are a high priority for the administration, definitely a big plus for me going forward. After lunch, there was a tour and two thirty minute interviews. Overall, great experience. Now, I'm going to explore Boston with some friends before flying back to VA tomorrow. Best of luck to you all!

Hey guys, so I interview at Tufts in a month and while I was originally planning to stay with a friend there, I'm thinking that's not the best idea because apparently M1s are all having their exams when I'm there. So I want to stay in a hotel-- but most of the hotels I'm finding have a price of at least $200 per night (not including extra taxes/fees) and none of them are too close to the Medical Campus either. I was wondering if anyone had experience in this department--- like how much should I be able to get a hotel for? Is it okay if the hotel is located a little further from the medical campus, say a few miles-- so are the trains reliable, is uber reliable there? Is the traffic horrid and I'd have to leave 2 hours early for a 2 mile ride (as I've heard is the case in cities like Houston!). Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I'm planning to stay with a friend who lives 30 minutes away by train. I don't expect it will be a problem as long as I leave some extra time in case of delays. I'd suggest you find a hotel near a train stop if it's less expensive.

I've lived in Boston my entire life-- reliability of the T depends on which line you're taking. The orange line (which goes to Tufts medical center) is pretty reliable and comes at most every 10-15 minutes. The buses are a good option too, if you're willing to figure that out. There are transit apps you can get that tell you when the next bus/T is coming. Uber is very reliable, I use it for almost everything when I don't walk or take the T. The traffic won't be horrible if it's not rush hour (7am-9am and 5pm-7pm), but I would give yourself a little extra time just to be safe. Hotels are expensive in Boston... you're going to paying a lot no matter where you stay really. You can look into hostels and AirBnBs, they will be cheaper. I know my friend had an airbnb in Chinatown (super close to Tufts). There may be others!

Does anyone know how Tufts feels about application updates? I'm curious because I sent one in today for new volunteer experiences (one of them is clinical so I would consider it fairly significant).

Yeah, hotels in the Boston area are wildly expensive. I would suggest Airbnb.

What % of applicants are sent a secondary application?

is there a complete email? I only see that the secondary app is complete in the status page, but never received a complete email. I submitted last week of July.

I never received a file complete e-mail, either (submitted late August, and online it says all my materials are in), so I assume they don't send one?

I got two emails: "secondary application submitted" and "secondary application complete," both the same day I submitted.
