2015-2016 Washington University in St. Louis Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
There's an accepted class of 2020 fb group and there are currently 113 members.
And not everyone has fb / has been added to that group

Edit: also, many members are actually current WUSM students (not 2020 admits) who joined to answer questions and such.

If this helps, I interviewed in early January and was told that the MD adcom is meeting on the 28th (they only meet once a month). They might not get to everyone and the next date after that is Feb 25. Not sure how soon after the meetings they send out letters. Good luck everyone, I'm hoping to hear back soon as well!

Hey guys, I interviewed back in November and remember hearing that most of the interview decisions would go out in March. Can anyone confirm that? I might be getting that confused for another school so I just wanted to double check.

I remember hearing that most will be out in April, which is also what the letter in our packet said. I interpreted "most" to mean the wait list and rejections with some acceptances. I could be totally wrong though.

I heard something similar as well in that most decisions and acceptances would go out later in the cycle.

how many of you girls that interviewed actually applied for the Olin fellowship? That sounded pretty cool to me.

Is there any similar scholarship open to men also?:greedy::greedy:

I don't think it's April. That's way too late in the cycle.

I wrote down April too. Makes sense that "most decisions" would be mostly wait list/reject

I think they said all final decisions by April. Not most. By Mid March they have to have accepted at least 123. Which is 1/3 of their total final in previous years. I would suspect they would have even more than that by mid March.

Well, they suggested it would be most decisions in that some would come earlier than that (but less than 50% I guess).

Edit: so yes, to clarify, ALL final decisions by sometime in April, but at least some are released before April.

Though that probably includes acceptances off the waitlist.

Possibly. All we know for sure is the 123 by mid March.

Well, if @Jelly Bones is correct, we may be hearing something late tomorrow or on Friday! 😀 *Cross fingers*

Haha - how can you miss that call >>>><<<< ?

I know right?? Stupid dinner cooking... What if they decide to switch the decision since I didn't pick up?
Are we supposed to hear back about scholarships from this call as well?

II just a few minutes ago. I got the email about not having the dean's certificate form mailed in last week. Good thing I have plans to get that done tomorrow

^Anyone with an II not being able to get a spot for an interview? I called the office to schedule one, and they said they'd call me back. They haven't called me back yet. I got my II last week.

I don't think scholarship offers are being given out yet, but I could be wrong

I got mine 1/20 and called them on the 21st. They didn't get back to me until yesterday.
