Any idea when they’ll send out financial aid?
I don't think they release FA packages until second look weekend. Not sure if that's just for march acceptances or for everyone but that's what the FA person said on the phone when I called.anyone hear back from fin aid yet?
When I called a couple weeks ago they said they were planning to release last week for priority deadline peeps. Yeah, like I said they might be releasing FA packages for people accepted in dec. soon. For everyone deferred to a March decision, they said April 4th you'll get FA packages. When I called a couple weeks ago they said they were planning to release last week for priority deadline peeps. When I emailed with them they said they will have december acceptees packages "well before second look weekend" whatever that means...When I called a couple weeks ago they said they were planning to release last week for priority deadline peeps. Guess that didn't happen![]()
Financial Aid. Merit scholarships have already been parsed out for Dec. acceptances as far as I know.when you guys talking about FA packages, is it need based financial aid or merit scholarship?
For people waiting March acceptance, do they need to do anything for merit scholarship? Any paper work needs to file? CSS profile, etc?Financial Aid. Merit scholarships have already been parsed out for Dec. acceptances as far as I know.
Has anyone gotten an actual acceptance packet in the mail?
weird, I just called and they said that they didn't send anything out via snail mail.

I got the folder at my interview. No mailed packet for me.really? I’m pretty sure I have the folder. I guess I could be mistaken. Anyone else?
In the follow up email they sent after my interview, they said it’s April 4th!Hi all! I was deferred until March but was wondering if anyone knew the date for a second look day? I’m trying to plan travel around this in case I get good news 🙂 thanks in advance!
Emails were sent out March 11th last year and March 9th the year before so I'm guessing the week of the March 9th or maybe the week of March 16th.anyone know when the march decision release date is? thanks!
No phone calls? straight email notification?Emails were sent out March 11th last year and March 9th the year before so I'm guessing the week of the March 9th or maybe the week of March 16th.
I think your interviewer has the option to call you but I think most people end up hearing via email/portal update. No phone calls? straight email notification?
shoot that shot! I doubt anyone on here has that insider scoopDo we know if the admissions committee has already deliberated or if it’s worth sending an update
"it would be most helpful to have this info by early February" to me sounds like they probably met alreadyDo we know if the admissions committee has already deliberated or if it’s worth sending an update
Deferred crowd how we doing

I think the calls started on the 7th but it's your interviewer's discretion whether or not to call. Emails went out on the 11th last year and 9th the year so I'm guessing we will likely hear back in the next 2 weeks.I think they went out on March 7th last year, so perhaps late next week?

No I’ll definitely be living off campus. Just a preferenceIs pretty much everyone who's accepted planning on living in the On Campus residence hall?
If I choose to come here that is! Which I’m leaning towardsNo I’ll definitely be living off campus. Just a preference
I'll be moving with my GF, so I'm not allowed on the on campus residence hall lol. But it looks like the move if you can do it!Is pretty much everyone who's accepted planning on living in the On Campus residence hall?
Any idea where most people live off campus? No I’ll definitely be living off campus. Just a preference
From what I heard at my interview and what I know about the Boston area, most students live in the surrounding South End area of Boston. Some live in Roxbury (which is cheaper and a little ways out from the school), and others live in Cambridge or even Somerville which are even farther away. Most of the BU students who live outside of the residence hall in the first year are those who have either lived in Boston for undergrad or during their gap year, have an established living situation with roommates (Boston is expensive af, you need roommates), or are in a relationship and would prefer to live with their SO and/or family.Any idea where most people live off campus?

I'm a local New Englander, but if I get accepted to BU and choose to matriculate, it'll be a significant move for me nonetheless, both emotionally and financially. The residence hall seems like a great way to transition to med school and living in a new city, so that's where I'll choose to live. And on top of that, it's hard to beat ~$1000 a month in that area of Boston just blocks from the school. That’s what I’ve heard; in from the west coast and wouldn’t know anyone so I was leaning towards the residence hall
Lol I have a pretty large single apartment rn for 700/mo, 1000 seems crazyI'm a local New Englander, but if I get accepted to BU and choose to matriculate, it'll be a significant move for me nonetheless, both emotionally and financially. Oh wow. For all the schools I'm looking at/may end up at, 1000/mo is on the lower end. Especially if you want a decently safe area near said school.Lol I have a pretty large single apartment rn for 700/mo, 1000 seems crazy
