We have to be considered for MD before MD-PhD. I interviewed with MD applicants and received an MD decision. I also use the same portal as all of you and had the same neuroticism when the same thing happened to my batch of MD-PhD interviewees. In the end there was apparently no correlation between portal stuff and who got in for my batch.

All jokes aside, thank you for your input! I’m sure we’ll all calm down after we start coming to terms with the decision we’re given in a day or so.

Maybe, but as a counter point they have released decisions around this time in past years. For anyone interested:

2014 Jan 31 - Friday
2015 Jan 29 - Thursday
2016 Jan 28 - Thursday
2017 Jan 30 - Monday
2018 Jan 30 - Tuesday
2019 Jan 25- Friday

To add more fuel to the neurotic fire, in 2019 and 2018 the portal updated in the morning, BUT in 2017 when decisions were released on a Monday, the portal updated in the afternoon

lmao how can you tell this happened? For past years I dont see a way to tell the time of the post lol
 
I think it might be safe to say that decisions won't be coming out today. Most likely the 31st as one of the posters here stated that the admissions office said. A bit bummed and was hoping for this wait to end today.
 
Probably best to just assume it'll be Friday. But! There's always a chance! I just listened to Case Western's All Access: Med School Admissions podcast with Pitt, and Cynthia Bonetti (Pitt's executive director of admissions) said they do try to release results a few days early--and this was just a few weeks ago she said this. Maybe it won't be this early, but I wouldn't be surprised it if came out before Friday.

Yep a friend sent me this podcast and I listened to it as well. I agree with you, and think we will hear back either Wed or Th. But I am just going to assume it will be on friday like I have been all month lol
