Are they still sending out MD-only invites (not Berg, KH) at this school?
I’m a KH applicant and haven’t heard anything yet either! Trying to remain optimistic—we’ll see what happens!Anyone apply KH and still haven’t heard anything at all?
Here is some completely speculative and unsubstantiated KH math because I am at home and bored over the break. Last year there were 4424 KH applicants, which was a 23% increase from the previous year. At the same rate of increase, there will be ~5500 KH applicants this year. Last year 9/68 KH scholars were MD (or MD/PhD). Assuming the proportion of MD students among the KH scholars is equal to the proportion of MD applicants among KH applicants, during this cycle there were ~720 MD students who applied KH. Of these, assuming the same II rate as general MD applicants, ~45 KH applicants will receive MD IIs. However, I am going to guess that KH applicants are a self-selected group of higher-tier applicants than other MD applicants, so I will adjust the number to ~60 KH applicants who will receive MD IIs. There will be up to 90 KH scholars this year. Assuming the same yield as last year (68/75), the true number will be ~82 KH scholars. Assuming the same proportion of MD students as last year’s, there will be ~11 MD KH scholars this year. Assuming the same post-immersion weekend matriculation rate across all KH applicants, ~19 of the 140 immersion weekend invitees will be MD applicants. Assuming a 10% rate of reporting on SDN (completely blind guess), 6 KH applicants on this site have reported or will report receiving MD IIs, 2 of us will report getting invited to KH immersion weekend, and 1 of us will report ending up as a KH scholar. Of course, I could be way off as all of this was guesswork.

At the same rate of increase,
Assuming the proportion
assuming the same II rate
However, I am going to guess
There will be up to
Assuming the same yield
Assuming the same proportion
Assuming the same post-immersion weekend matriculation rate
Assuming a 10% rate of reporting on SDN
In my defense, one of those is not an assumption- the KH website says there will be up to 90 KH scholars this year. BTW I’ve interned at a consulting firm and this is pretty much how they come up with their numbers for clients@mrwup i got u
Merry Christmas! When were you complete?
Holy **** II! Thought I was going to get rejected here.
Yes, MD only.Congrats! Is it MD only?
Mid Augustcongrats! when were you complete?
Looks like two years ago the first decision date was mid January, but last year it wasn’t until late February. I hope we don’t have to wait too much longer. Can we get some decision release date speculation going? Need some entertainment to get through this last few weeks
IIRC people can still be accepted if they don’t hear back in the first wave, too. Fingers crossed...Yeah last year was like Feb 8th but the 3 years before that were between the 14th and the 20th. :O
There are 4 sites: Stanford University Hospital (which the university just spent 2 billion dollars rebuilding, and officially opened a few weeks ago after a decade of construction) + Lucille Packard Children's, The Palo Alto VA, Kaiser, and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (safety-net hospital of the area). Each site is staffed by Stanford faculty, and are also the same sites that residents in the Stanford residency programs rotate through. For many rotations, you'll be able to choose which site you want to be at.Does anyone know which hospitals Stanford students complete their clerkships at?
Extremely unlikely unless a special exception was made (could be possible, who knows).Has Stanford not released a single acceptance/wl to anyone yet? I only ask because I know of a friend of a friend that claims that they were admitted to Stanford this cycle. I can’t verify if it’s true or not; just what I heard...

So I really hope I'm wrong, but I feel like most people would have had to get an II first? I remember there were a few people about a month ago that got II that were KH applicants but not much else since then.4 days till KH decision.
