Any more OOS acceptances beyond mid-sept interview dates?

Today marks 9 weeks for me bud, don’t get your hopes up. Lol
Yikes! I was told 6-8. Some others have been getting their in less than 6. I think it would be appropriate to call next week, maybe Tuesday, to check on your status.

Nobody has gotten a WL yet, at least that they’ve advertised. I’m in no rush to call and be given mediocre news. Or worse, a straight-up rejection.

Complete around July 20th, and things have been silent since. I am IS, LM 73, and decent/strong EC's. My application has been "under review" here and at quite a few other similarly ranked schools for some time now. I am wondering:
1) If anyone else who was complete in July is still under review
2) Would it be helpful to send updates at this point (I have a new EC and research underway)

1) Seems like stony has already sent plenty of pre-II rejections so you are likely still in the running. I have a 72 LM and got an interview invite so I wouldn't think stats are your issue.
2) I don't know about stony specifically, but I got some interview attention after sending an october update letter to schools that had been silent so i would try that.

Yeah like @SkirrSkirrta said I was complete 7/24 and have not hear back either but my stats are lower than both of yours so not sure why we have not heard back yet; perhaps they just haven't read our applications yet.

Also probably minute question but does your application say "complete" or "under review"? Not sure if the status changes or you just meant to say complete lol.

In terms of sending updates, I sent one about two months ago and have not heard back but I think sending substantial updates would only benefit you so go for it!

the interview day is fairly unstructured so you can definitely leave after your interviews.

I think If you end up doing that, you can always ask the interview coordinator to schedule your interviews earlier in the day. Then you can probably leave around 1/2 and get to the airport by 4?

does anyone know if there is a bus or subway that takes you from hempstead NY to stony brook area? It's 1 hour driving and I really don't wanna pay for that with uber lol

Looks like you should be able to take an uber to the station in Mineola, and then take the LIRR from Mineola to Hempstead with 1 switch at Hicksville. It will probably take more like 1.75-2 hours, but will be much cheaper.

Edit, for reference, this is the LIRR map! You'll want to end up on the Port Jeff line to get out to Stony Brook (red circle), basically (Mineola station is the green circle)

Take a NICE bus from Hempstead to Mineola (like 10 minutes). Gets you to the Mineola station then take the Port Jeff line to the Stony Brook stop (second to last stop). Will take a little less than 2 hrs total. You still might want to grab an uber to get to the hospital itself though - it’s a bit of a walk and I assume this is a winter interview.

Around what time does the interview day end?

So uh... Does not hearing back post interview after 8 weeks basically mean waitlist?

10 weeks and counting for me too, any response when you called/emailed?

They basically told me that it can take any where from 6 weeks to more. So pretty much an indefinite wait till they decide what they're doing with our puny applications.

Did anyone from this cycle get any interview questions about what schools they applied to/interviewed at? I saw that it was pretty common in previous years but just wanted to know if it was phased out. Also, how long is each interview approximately?

My interviews took a long time (~1 hour) because my interviewers prepared a lot of questions, but I think they should be around 30 min.

I didn't get any interview questions about where I applied to or interviewed.
