2019-2020 UCLA (Geffen)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am a Canadian with 512 and 3.6 cGPA....so am I looked at differently than other applicants because I am international? I already filled out the secondary but have not heard back yet!
Probably. 3.9/523 international, complete on 7/6, have not heard back.

If I submitted 7/3 and haven’t gotten a II , does this mean I was already looked over/ silently rejected? I see people who submitted after me getting interviews, and I’m getting worried

Hey all!

I'm a little late with posting this! I am a rising fourth year MD/MPH (currently on my Master's year) within the CDU/UCLA Medical Education Program. Feel free to reach out if you have questions. However, I am not apart of Geffen's nor CDU's admissions committee, so I cannot give you insight into your chances etc.

Look forward to hearing from you!

For people who got IIs earlier than me, does UCLA mail info packets to your house?

any current students or applicants from last year have any interview advice? Obviously not the details of questions but format? stress level? things you wish you had known?

I know it's super cliche, but just don't be nervous, be yourself, be a human.

No.. Most likely they will only do email.

II today, if it makes any of you more hopeful my sGPA is <3.5 and my MCAT is about 5 points below their average.

Congrats!!! There is still hope for me yet. My GPA is good, but my MCAT is 511, so like 7 points below their median.

Does anyone know when the interview day usually ends? All I got was that you should show up before 9:45AM.

When does UCLA notify about merit scholarship? Say they actually give out A’s in october, will we find out then? Or in march? Geffen scholarship is my new top choice lmao

Historically it is usually in the acceptance letter, though I hear from underclassmen it has sometimes been offered later. Admissions is shuffling some things around this year though so it could be different.

Is it too early to contact admissions in regards to having not received a secondary? I don't want to be pushy but I am generally interested in knowing why I did not get one. I am a bilingual Latino, LM of 71, IS and primary verified on 7/8.

I'm an idiot but UCLA sent me a secondary email and I just missed the 30 day deadline ... so today's the 31st day. Any advice..? Can I still submit?
