Can anyone accepted confirm whether UNC is showing up on their AMCAS Choose Your Medical School tool? Specifically MSTP...

I was accepted about three weeks ago and have spoken back and forth with the office so far, but my CYMS page still doesn't list UNC. Wondering if this is a common issue and they haven't forwarded acceptances, or if it's just me and I need to contact the school.
Mine was on there but I was accepted in October for MD only.

Hey! I was actually asking someone about this a couple of days ago. I received an MD only acceptance last week, and mine is not showing up in the Choose Your Medical School Tool. It may just take some time for the acceptances to populate into the AMCAS system.

Also does anyone know when financial aid packages are released here? I feel like I heard April, but that could be wrong.

According to last year, it seems like people starting receiving them around early April.

Also, does anyone know if there there is a certain deadline for the scholarship application?

There wasn't a deadline listed but I'm pretty sure the application said scholarships are given on a rolling basis so the earlier it's submitted, the better

I am very confident that they gave some decisions back today, given that I saw people were accepted today via multiple Instagram stories
Any idea how these peeps found out🙂 ? I'm super anxious rn waiting to find out what the Decided means...refreshing my email like a mad man

Not sure how they found out. Saw one insta post around noon and the other couple hours ago so seems like they received calls, based on the scattered posts. Also I know for a fact one of them interviewed on 1/13.

I did not see these posts myself, but some friends told me the same thing. Just goes to show how small of a fraction of applicants actually post on SDN.

The "Decided" turned out to be an acceptance!

I had been waiting almost 5 months (also a re-app), so for those of you who interviewed early, don't give up just yet!
Congratulations!!!!! Low key has me more stressed about my awaiting decision status

Does anyone know when they started sending out WL offers last cycle? Or how many people usually come off the WL each year?

First time poster here but have been lurking for a while.

I just looked through last years posts and did not find any acceptances or rejections between 2/27/19 (one year ago from today) and 3/12/19.

The action was all between 3/12 and 3/17:
On 3/12 and 3/13, 7 people posted they were accepted.
On 3/15, 8 people posted they were rejected.
On 3/17, 5 people posted they were waitlisted.

Between 4/29 and 5/28/19, 9 people were accepted off of the Waitlist as follows:
on 4/29, 2 accepted of wl
on 5/2, 1
on 5/3, 1
on 5/12, 1
on 5/13, 1
on 5/15, 1
on 5/21, 1
on 5/28, 1.

I'm sorry to change the subject, but has anyone gotten notification that their FAFSA was received at UNC? I submitted mine months ago and thought I might receive some sort of notification, haven't, so I called to just confirm they had what they needed.

I called the financial aid office and they told me they are unable to determine if they've received my FAFSA, that I won't receive an email once they do get it, they don't know when they'll start putting together aid packages, and can't guarantee any date when I would receive our aid package by. And that it may not come out until after April 30.

Has anyone gotten better answers than I received?

I received an email in October from the UNC Office of Scholarships and Student Aid (not the SOM Financial Aid Office specifically) that my FAFSA was received. The email went to my old UNC email address, not the one I used to apply to schools.

I called the UNC SOM Financial Aid office about two months ago and got similar answers to the questions you asked. The woman I spoke with sounded like she had absolutely no idea what was going on... Exactly the type of person I want processing my financial aid. At one point she said the packages for new students wouldn't go out until school is about to start, but then she changed her mind and said she wasn't sure. ???

I also received an email last week from the UNC-CH Office of Scholarships and Student Aid that thanked me for submitting my FAFSA and to check my UNC email account and ConnectCarolina.

I talked to Ms. Reid, and she said the volume of material her team gets from incoming students is crazy. So they don't necessarily have the bandwidth to verify receipt of materials in a timely manner. I would screenshot/print all confirmation pages.

+6, interviewed november
+7 but this was expected.
If you look at any of the last 3 years' threads, you will see that the first week of March is absurdly quiet with like 1 person over all 3 years posting that they got an A. However, the second week of March is usually where the action is and people post A's, R's, and WL's. Here's to hoping for some good news next week
