No I haven’t. I am hoping to soon, but I don’t have a phone number right now so I have to wait for the email. I was just wondering on the lag between the calls and emails.

You might be able to let the Office of Admissions know that any decisions, regardless of A/WL/R, should come by email - I bet they'd be receptive to that!

Are you guys filling out your css and fafsa even before getting accepted?

I've had my FAFSA done for a while but for other schools. Everywhere I interviewed said that their priority deadline for aid was having the FAFSA submitted by April 1. The CSS...I've been a little slower on that but am mostly done. I figure I have the time now, so I might as well. A bunch of the schools I'm hoping for require it anyways

Would a letter of interest and update help at all at this point or wait until decisions are released?

I wonder how many people they accept right off the bat. For a class of 75 MD students and with Wash U's prestige level...do y'all think 100 A's before the waitlist starts? 125?

Probably closer to 125, unless they take a more conservative approach early on. If it’s around 100, I suspect a lot of waitlist movement, as many of the people they are accepting outright / early on likely have other great options and may be lured away from Wash U due to curriculum change, location, etc.

They definitely finished interviews a couple of weeks earlier than past years... so less... but I don’t know by how much...

Well, for a 25% reduction in the incoming MD class, I'd imagine they interview up to ~25% fewer folks. Probably? Someone with the MSAR can probably confirm how many interviews they've done historically

So do only acceptances and waitlist decisions come out this Friday?

i think washu interviews around 1k applicants so i think they cant just waitlist everyone

I'm sure hoping it's this Friday (or sooner!) From last year's thread it looked like a bunch of calls went out over 5 or 6 days (Feb. 28 - March 5). WL emails didn't actually start until 3/15 last year

It could definitely be a selection bias (i.e. you don’t post on SDN if you get rejected), but if you look back at all of the years no one has ever reported a rejection (until the class has been completely filled in Aug)... I hope they reject, but as someone mentioned above they have a big problem with retention as most people don’t want to live in St Louis/tuition is expensive/etc.

i wonder if wustl will still prioritize really hgih stats this year
