2019-2020 Washington University in St. Louis

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
According to last year's thread the accepted students' FB page was close to 300 so our guesses of 125 or so might be way off...

Hope y'all are coping better than me. This is by far my top choice and I've been on silence since mid september interview. Goodluck everyone

The anxiety won't really hit until Wednesday night so right now it's okay. Thursday and Friday are gonna be something else though...

Oh I just figured that we likely won't start hearing until Thursday or Friday, so Wednesday night is a good time to start getting worked up about it

My logic as well, as a result Wednesday and Thursday night are currently pre booked for a nice bottle of wine, something unhealthy, and a minecraft binge 😀

Are we expecting a lot of calls to go out on Friday or Thursday?

Last year the big call wave started on Feb. 28, which was a Thursday, so I wouldn't be shocked if they start Thursday this year. But they kept going for a few days!

Does anyone know if they are offering all 50% tuition scholarships to entering class of 2020, or a mix of 50% and 100% scholarships, or will some get on scholarships at all? I already have a great scholarship to one of our state schools.

Grats! did you mean letter of interest or intent? if it's rhe former, what'd you talk about
letter of interest! gave them an update on my life - nothing interesting at all lmao, just said my grades stayed steady last semester and talked about my new campus job + volunteering and how those will make me a better physician then talked about how much i like st. louis and washU and how my interview day confirmed that for me

Where did you hear that you're not considered for aid until you've confirmed your spot?
sorry not like confirm your spot but you have to "accept" your acceptance to access the financial aid portal

Both! Obviously they prefer the intent, but interest (i.e. this school is in my top 3) still helps your app too.
You would put “you’re in my top 3” in a letter of interest? I have mixed feelings about that. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
