Did anyone get a call from Dean Yee before their interview?

I received an II but the portal wouldn't let me schedule for like 2 days and then I randomly got a call from Durham and it was him calling to set it up with me and brief me on the layout of the day. Wouldn't read into it.

I was scheduled for my II by someone on the phone (possibly Dean Yee) it was a little on the short notice side so I assumed it was a cancellation situation!

Do we think they're basically done sending out IIs? I'm preparing to send an update to my remaining schools but I don't want to send one to Duke just for them to reject me two days later 😂

Just send it and I see you in the fall! might not make a difference, or maybe it will!

For those of you who interviewed already, what did you wear to the Sunday afternoon/evening info session before the MMI day? It says business casual on the invite but that's a large range... tysm!

I wore a button down and saw other guys wearing button downs and polos. Not sure what the girls wore, sorry! Students were wearing T-shirts and sweaters. Overall pretty casual!

You should’ve gotten an email with the dress codes listed. A lot of people just wore comfy clothing. I saw some wearing a button down or t shirts. The students themselves wore t-shirts and sweaters.

I meant more like going out dinner casual. So maybe somewhere in between Applebee’s and Cheesecake Factory?

Hi everyone! Not sure if this has been asked already (or if we're allowed to ask), but what does the video station on the MMI entail? I'm guessing it replaced the essay station on the in-person MMI, so is it just us recording ourselves talking instead of writing it out?

No you watch a video then respond instead of reading a prompt

For those who have interviewed, does anyone know whether incompletion of the task affects rating on the teamwork stations? I didn't get to finish one of mine and now feel really bad 🙁

i am pretty sure that completing the tasks wasn’t a big part of it.

No the point Of the station is teamwork/communication. It is MUCH more important to communicate (giving and receiving) effectively in timed/stressed situations. However, I would imagine that if you have two teams who (on some ranking system) have the same exact quality if communication, the team who completes more will have done “better”.

I thought I saw that decisions would more likely be out end of February this year. But if you guys think it's possible they're coming out sooner, do you think it's too late to send them the update I had intended to?
