Anyone else a tad nervous about receiving the security email but not the happy holidays email?

Pre-med life: thinking EVERYTHING is a sign
I think they just have random emails saved for different departments. I have interview coming up with geisinger and they didn't send me the happy holidays email

Fair- but i've already interviewed, so it made me feel a tad uneasy 😅

For those of you who also interviewed on 11/13 - do you think we will hear back before the holidays?

A's came out on the 16th last month. I'm thinking they will be released right around that date this week. Though it would be great to hear back today.

Has anyone that's been accepted so far been accepted from a deferred status? Or are we gonna have to wait longer to hear back if deferred? I know there has only been 2 or 3 decision days so far.

Has anyone that has been deferred send in updates? I was deferred on 11/16 and was wondering if the updates could help.

I was deferred as well, I sent one in recently. They accept them so it can't hurt to update them. Taking the time to show continued interest in their school can't be a bad thing.

I have an interview 1/6. Any advice?
Not sure if its your first one - I have had a couple experiences now where the interviewers are very serious / stone faced. Don't let that throw you off - go through the answers and talk about your experiences at length like you practiced. Other than that the interview was standard, practice the questions you see on SDN interview feedback and of course, "why our school". Some advice I got was that some people are better at interviewing than others and you should go into the interview with 3 things you want to make sure you tell them before the end. Whether they ask or not, keeping these in mind can help you slip them in at any opportune moment.

Has anyone accepted received anything about scholarships or anything like that? Or do we need to submit Fafsa and go through all that before we get offered anything?

Wait I interviewed 11/13 and nothing has changed on my portal. Does this mean I was deferred or am I still awaiting a decision?

Wait, did you get an email that you were deferred? I interviewed on 11/18 and haven't received any updates or emails and my portal is the same as well.

If I remember correctly I believe the window they gave was 6-8 weeks for a decision. I also interviewed 11/18 and I have yet to hear anything. Unless you've received an email or decision on your portal explicitly stating that you've been accepted or deferred then I think it's safe to say that your application is still under review. At least that's how I'm choosing to look at it, I'd probably go crazy if I tried reading any further into it lol

No I didn't receive any email or changes to my portal. I think mid-november interviews and later are in the clear for the next round of decisions probably.

I agree!!

I interviewed in September and was deferred in November. Haven’t heard an update since. When should I expect to hear anything? Monthly updates?

This is a great question - I believe we have to submit Fafsa and then wait!

does anyone know if Geisinger is still sending out IIs? Seems like I might have avoided some R waves but also haven't heard anything back so I'm not sure what to think (complete early October). Congrats to everyone accepted today!
Complete early September and also haven’t heard anything!

Wait, did anyone notice that in the portal, under interview, they now have an "interview complete" button? Is that indicative of a possible response this week hehe?
