Also, to that end, please save Monday, October 5, 2020 on your calendar. More information will be sent to you about a special invitation to learn more and hear more from our current medical students virtually on that date.
I didn't receive any follow-up email or information. Does anybody know anything about this?
 
Anyone think they'll send their first batch of decisions on Oct. 15th? That seems to be the case in last years' threads, but I'm not sure if COVID will delay it a little bit
 
On hold, complete 8/11. There haven't been any Rs from GW yet, right?

When I open the email with my phone, the date "October 5th" is hyperlinked ( which is not when I open it with my laptop) and the hyperlink can open my calendar which states its at 4pm EST for 1hr 15 min. I am unsure if this is the actual time or a place holder but I have not heard any further about it. I interviewed there on Sept. 15th.

Sorry! I should have explained better. I got an II before and its scheduled for later this month. I just got an email to save the date for oct. 5th but haven't received any info yet
 
I have interview scheduled but have not received anything about the event on the fifth. Should I be worried??
 
I think it’s only for people who have interviewed so far. I am unsure though.

I don't think it's only for people who have already interviewed because my interview is later this week but I was invited to attend. However, the crazy thing is that I cannot find the email with the link for the invitation lol it's just magically in my calendar as a Gmail invitation so I'm pretty confused lol.

Edit: Nvm I found the email. The subject was "Invitation to Web seminar: GW SMHS Informational Panel Webinar" for those of you who have an interview scheduled. Maybe it went to spam so you can try to search for it with this!

HMMM.. It seems like I just never received an email about it. Ugh, I would love to attend the event but I guess it might have gotten sent randomly to people with IIs?? Can you update us after you attend the event?

Same! I also can’t find this.


I indicated that I’ve attended a GW info session before on the secondary—maybe this is only to folks who haven’t attended one?

Does anyone know if they send rejections via email or just through the portal? I have been on hold since early aug.

I emailed them asking about it and they sent me the link!

oooh, which email did you send to? Did they reply quickly?

edit: they replied back super quickly! I will leave an update here if anyone wants to know what they said during the webinar 🙂

The admin email that I received the save the date from. Yeah it was a very quick response
 
can we send letters of intent/ interest before Oct 15th?

This status was updated this evening, but I didn't receive an email... only found it because I checked my portal. Complete: 08/17

GW's hold is not a soft R, unlike many other schools like UCSD and Drexel. I believe a few people on this thread have already received II after being on hold. Previous years' threads show a bunch of people getting II after hold.

i enjoyed it! it was nice to hear from dean mcquail and others on the admissions panel. i think the students gave some great perspective into the opportunities during both pre-clinical and clinical years. made me super excited to hear back from the school!!
 
Too add on from webinar: first decisions will come out on 10/15 and they are planning to release more every two weeks!
 
anyone who interviewed so far that I can PM?? I would really appreciate the help!!!
