Can you tell me if you got 1 or 2 Webex invites? I have one, but I thought it was 2 separate interviews so I should be receiving another link, right? Thanks!
You will get two. I got my faculty one a few days before the student one.

514/3.7 I also have some health policy experience so fingers crossed
healthcare policy was not brought up in my GW interview at all, but of course if it's your strong point then you could mention it.

On the other hand, my interviewer and I chatted about it for a while after the formal questions, but I was the one who identified it as our common interest. There's no tricky, in-depth "solve ___ in US healthcare" questions. But of course it's a big strength of being at GW.

it was very laidback, with very common interview questions, although some weird ones like 'describe your leadership style'. Check out my GW individual interview feedback from Aug 20th for more info
thank you!

hold status, complete around 9/3. have people who have been on hold had any changes so far other than that one person'?

For those who were put on hold, and then received an II — did you guys provide an update or anything? Or just waited? Wondering if it is too soon to send updates or an interest letter (as GW is my top choice!) etc. I submitted within 7 days of receiving the secondary in July -

does anyone's app status say it was reviewed but now put on hold to review at later date? is that basically a rejection or some sort of II waitlist?

When were you put on hold? From what I’ve read on this threat it seems people get off of hold around October or November. It seems to move faster than other schools

"Your application to The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences is complete and has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee. To date, no final decision has been made and the Admissions Committee has placed your application on hold for re-review at a later date. Files are re-reviewed by the committee periodically and there is no set schedule for decisions. We do interview from August through March. Please feel free to update your file during this time using the GW Admissions Portal. If we require any further documentation or if your status changes, we will contact you immediately. We do sincerely appreciate your interest in our program. Thank you for your patience. "

It was updated in my portal but did not receive any email. So basically a rejection?

Hold, complete 8/19

Ok so this is clearly the other pile since the faster pile is already in the first week of September. Which means I should be reviewed in ~7 days.
If anyone else was wondering.

or not since I'm still just complete from 7/30 🤣

Question, I am interested in this school. However my Mcat is not the best at a 500. I am very interested in public health and have been on service trips internationally, as well as had my EMT cert. for over a year now. My gpa is also decent at 3.65. Should I even bother applying or will my Mcat hold me back? I have secondaries pre written right now, but I took Mcat late which is why I’m just now getting to sending everything.

GW’s 10th percentile for accepted/matriculated students is a 508. I personally would not apply with a 500.

I think if there isn't a cutoff below 500 and you think you could be a good fit for the program AND your still have money to apply to schools after, you should go for it. You definitely won't get in if you don't apply.

Complete on 8/12. 512, 3.80, OOS, and ORM. Have been checking the portal relatively often and just saw that I am on hold. I wonder what is next?

what a long wait time ah! i wonder why for some of us it is taking so long

Just had my interview (first of cycle too)! S/O GW for being so accommodating and kind during these times. I really overstressed for this interview and it was very conversational and enjoyable. I hope this helps some that will be lurking in anticipation of their interview/ II.

Can you elaborate on how they were notably accommodating/kind?

it was my only my first interview so not sure how it compares. But I was very nervous since I had been expecting to have my student interview first and faculty second: until I realized that was not the case. However, the faculty member was extremely kind to me and conversational/ laughing with me almost immediately, which really eased up my nerves. When we had technical difficulties, we just worked through it and laughed it off instead of it becoming a concern. I just know that I had been very nervous about this interview, and during it felt so relaxed and hope that it helps someone preparing can find this and know that its gonna be OK!
