Waitlisted. Interviewed 9/8. You win some you lose some :/
Waitlisted. Interviewed 9/1. First interview and was so nervous because this is one of my tops 🙁 now I guess I will just be stressed for monthssss
I honestly felt like I had a great interview! My faculty interview praised a lot of my answers and I got along great with the student. I guess the interview is just a small part of the whole decision!Dang... why so many waitlisted? Haven’t gotten an II but makes me worry that even if I do... not high chances. For those of you who are waitlisted, how do you feel your interview went?
My interview was okay. Faculty was hard to read. With a post II acceptance rate of ~25%, it seems normal that there will be 3 waitlists for every acceptance.Dang... why so many waitlisted? Haven’t gotten an II but makes me worry that even if I do... not high chances. For those of you who are waitlisted, how do you feel your interview went?
i thought it was fine! i was nervous so not my most amazing interview. but I think it went average- above average. i agree that its a small part i think and they just wanna see ur fit, but most of ur application has already spoken for you!Dang... why so many waitlisted? Haven’t gotten an II but makes me worry that even if I do... not high chances. For those of you who are waitlisted, how do you feel your interview went?
Interviewed Sep 1st and have heard nothing back. Don't know what the delay is
could be a good sign man, you never know
Unfortunately, yea I think so :/ the dean made it clear that she doesn’t want to receive emails about decisions because they already have dates set up to release resultsSo for those of us who didn't hear back yesterday, we have to wait another two weeks before potentially hearing back? That feels like an eternity loll
Did they say what the dates were? By any chanceUnfortunately, yea I think so :/ the dean made it clear that she doesn’t want to receive emails about decisions because they already have dates set up to release results
They said every two weeks after their first decision release on 10/15!Did they say what the dates were? By any chance
2 weeks until what?Waitlisted with a mid-September interview. Time to wait two weeks!
Any movement off of hold recently ?
+1Nothing here, still on hold
They don't review the alternate pool until winter and don't make acceptance offers from those in the alternate pool until spring, unfortunately.Waitlisted with a mid-September interview. Time to wait two weeks!
Has anyone on here with a 123 sub score on one section of the mcat granted a interview or acceptance?
Thank you, did they bring it up during the interview? On their website it says a 123 is considered uncompetitiveYes for interview
Do you mind telling me your MCAT, you can DM me if that is more comfortablethanks!! LM 68.5. Slightly low MCAT, but still around the average and high GPA. However, I think my diverse background/experiences and my secondaries helped me the most in my opinion.

Interviews are closed file so they won't even know. I got a 124 on CARS and was interviewed on 9/8Thank you, did they bring it up during the interview? On their website it says a 123 is considered uncompetitive
I didn't get my webex link until the night before so just waitto those who already interviewed: when should I expect their webex links for the interview? I am interviewing this Thursday
I think two weeks might be too soon, but this is just what I think. Congrats on the new job thoSo I was placed on hold on 10/7, after completing on 9/11. I began a full-time job for my application year last week, after having my last one postponed indefinitely due to COVID. I was planning on sending an update letter this Friday after having a full two weeks under my belt in this new position. Any thoughts? Is this too soon? Thanks for any advice.
It just sounds like they havent made a decision on your app?" Thank you so much for taking the time to visit The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and interview with us! The Committee on Admissions carefully and judiciously reviews files and as such we humbly appreciate your patience during this process and will be in contact with you once a decision is made."
is this a soft R?
i guess I'm being paranoid afIt just sounds like they havent made a decision on your app?
I think the general consensus is that a GW hold is not nearly as bad as holds from other schools, which end up being more like soft R's! If you look through the thread, there are already some people getting II's after being placed on hold earlier.being placed on hold here is a good thing right?
After being placed on hold on 7/20, I just checked and my status says Your file is under review now
Nice! Did you submit any updates? After being placed on hold on 7/20, I just checked and my status says Your file is under review now
