Submitted July 16 and still not reviewed yet (I still have the complete status). Has anyone who submitted before me or at the same time also not been reviewed yet?
It’s in my signatureIs there any way you could post the link to this so we could view it separately outside of SDN? This is incredible.
It’s in my signatureI made the tracker last year and this year haha
Same complete 07/16 and tbh no idea. They might be doing high stats/URM's first. Or we could just be rejected I'm not sure.Complete on the 18th i think and i still havent gone under review yet. is this to be expected?
I'm complete 7/13 and haven't seen a status change lolSame complete 07/16 and tbh no idea. They might be doing high stats/URM's first. Or we could just be rejected I'm not sure.
It could be by MCAT then, I looked on reddit's tracker and most II's were relatively high MCATs, the lower MCATs that received II's were URM's.I'm complete 7/13 and haven't seen a status change lol
Idk, I have LM 73 with MCAT of 515. I feel like that's at least moderately comparable to those receiving IIs.It could be by MCAT then, I looked on reddit's tracker and most II's were relatively high MCATs, the lower MCATs that received II's were URM's.
I have LM 68-69, ORM and plenty of community service (2000ish hours). I was under review for like two days before being put on hold. According to the interview tracker, there doesn't seem to be an obvious pattern for these IIsIdk, I have LM 73 with MCAT of 515. I think they might be looking at volunteer hours or community service, honestly. isn't that one of the things GW likes? i know i dont have as much as probably the more stellar applicants do
Anyone else not get a secondary despite being verified?

OOS, but pretty close to the region (Northern Virginia), complete/secondary sent 7/13 but I've been under review for a while.
"Your file is under review"what does ur portal status say?
I think this was key for me. Writing the Clinical Public Health and Why GW essays were very, very easy for me because 90% of my application already aligned with their focus as a medical school (social justice, healthcare delivery sciences). I felt that my Why GW was strong because I could highlight specific ways GW would help me reach my career aspirations. I personally didn't have much traditional volunteering but a LOT of employment in the previously mentioned areas, so I'm not sure if they value community service in itself as much as other service-oriented schools like Rush.It definitely has to do with the "Why GW?" question. They probably interview people with a CLEAR reason to go to GW first, then follow with other stuff (URM/ORM, service, LM, and other experiences).
That's interesting because I actually thought that was an extremely strong part of my app here. I had a very clear why GW, felt like I'm a great fit, and worked super hard to make sure this secondary was excellent because this is my top choice. My LM obviously isn't the best, but others with my stats have gotten interviews already sooo I don't know. At least a hold isn't an R but still. It definitely has to do with the "Why GW?" question. Yeah, that is weird. It is also that there are so many different physicians who read these applications, so while that may be the standard, everyone will find different value in what you've written. That's interesting because I actually thought that was an extremely strong part of my app here. how did you know thatJust an FYI: GW is doing maintenance on the secondary portal tomorrow, saturday aug. 1 so they are asking applicants not to sign into the portal, work on the application or submit the secondary during that time.
It’s on their websitehow did you know that
On hold! LM 74.
Has anyone been outright rejected yet?
Where does it say on hold? Mine has a paragraph in green font saying my file is complete and basically under review. Is that where it will say on hold?
Yup. The text will change once they've read your file and made a decision to either interview you or put you back into the list. I haven't heard of any straight rejections yet
on hold - not sure when that was updated but I just checked the portal today. Submitted secondary 07/21. Interviewed last year in November and still on their alternate list...

Dang! Do you remember ever being put on hold last year? Good luck to you bothI’m in the exact same boat lol feeling much better about this cycle though
Mine does. It's said this since 24 hours of when I was complete (before then, it just said I was pending AMCAS verification). No "under review" or "on hold" so I'm guessing we're still in the queue for someone to read our apps.does anyone's else portal say this:
"Your file is now complete. At this point we have received all the necessary credentials including your secondary application and your letters of recommendation in order for your application to be reviewed. While the committee works diligently to review applications in a timely manner, please be aware that in order to do a thorough review of your file it may be sometime until you hear from us again."
