Unfortunately, I submitted my application very late in the cycle due to my MCAT being delayed from COVID-19 🙁. Just hoping for a chance at even a consideration/rejection.

I'm slightly confused so if anyone else understands the process better I'd love to know if "under review" an indicator that you will be getting an interview soon, or if everyone goes under review at some point?

Not sure, best advice would be to look at previous years and see if anyone got off the hold.

I looked into last years thread. It seems there were a good amount of holds going into an interview around January/February. Not all, but a chance 🙂

Hold as well just now. Last year I was also put on hold and my app went back to under review in late February before my rejection in March. I think it truly means a hold but the chances of an II go down a lot because so many people are placed on hold and the number of interview invites they have left in late February is minuscule. So it’s not a nail in the coffin and there is a tiny sliver of hope.

I got an email around noon EST. My portal hasn't changed (I never even saw it under review). Also, I'm not going to say my exact stats, but I will say they are pretty bad and probably worse than anyone else applying here 🙂 But I am IS, have a lot of clinical experience, work at UMD medical school hospital, and have LORs from faculty here.

For those who have been accepted and are in-state, was your status initially OOS and has it been changed yet? I submitted a residency form a while back but wasn't sure if I should start asking the registrar why I'm still OOS since it looks like they had technical issues and are working on it!

Mine was OOS and still hasn't been changed! I got my A on 10/20 and submitted the residency form the same day. I'm just going to wait a bit longer before I reach out

EDIT: I've lived in MD literally my entire life and go to undergrad here so my residency is def IS lol

Pardon my ignorance, where do you check if you are in-state or out-of-state? I am currently IS, and also submitted my residency form. But I am not sure where to check this status.
