Just be yourselfAny tips for the interview??
I did, I applied MD/MPH and received IIHas anyone who received a II heard anything about when they want it by? I’m guessing the VITA invite will come this Thursday
People receiving II submitted earlier before you I’m sure.Same, I submitted 8/11 and haven't heard anything back after checking if everything was complete on 8/14. All my stats are above their medians too, but I'm also OOS and no connections to the South. IDK what to think...
The interview was super genuine and friendly, it was open file but definitely relaxed. The faculty genuinely wanted to know your journey and how you would be a great fit at Morehouse! Overall a really great formatI'm so nervous that I haven't gotten anything from them yet! Complete 08/14. By the way, how did everyone who interviewed this past Friday think of it?
I emailed but no response :/I didn't but I emailed admissions asking them about my fee waiver and the lady told me they received it and that my application was complete. I would email them though to see if you're complete as well, just to be safe.
How was the virtual experience? Was it on zoom? The interview was super genuine and friendly, it was open file but definitely relaxed. The faculty genuinely wanted to know your journey and how you would be a great fit at Morehouse! Overall a really great format
Yep, it was via zoom! Everything went pretty well. They have breakout rooms when you go to private interviews with faculty members and then it will bring you back to the general forum for the rest of itHow was the virtual experience? Was it on zoom?
Wow thanks for sharing! Did you see other applicants in the "general forum"? Or was it just you and the adcom the whole time. Did you also get a chance to interact with other applicants, if so?Yep, it was via zoom! Everything went pretty well. My interview is in October & I’m excited!!! Your comment made me even more excited about the fact that they’re giving me an opportunity to further sell myself!!! I can’t wait. The interview was super genuine and friendly, it was open file but definitely relaxed. The faculty genuinely wanted to know your journey and how you would be a great fit at Morehouse! Yes you see all the other applicants in the general forum. During the time for the medical student Q&A they break you down into smaller groups ( via breakout rooms again) and you get time to ask a current medical student about Morehouse! Hope this helps!Wow thanks for sharing! Did you see other applicants in the "general forum"? Or was it just you and the adcom the whole time. I would send them a follow-up email and if they don’t respond I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a call.I emailed but no response :/
I tried calling but it goes to an answering machine to leave a voicemail, instead of talking to someone. I sent a follow up email yesterday after two weeks, no responseI would send them a follow-up email and if they don’t respond I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a call.
unless you have a prior MCAT, you can't be an applicant for this cycleOnline it says they are accpeting applications until December 1 but mcats until sept 12. Does that mean if u apply and ur new mcat for the sept 28 shows on ur application that they will just ignore it

Yes, I did.For the secondary, did anyone choose multiple answers for this question: Indicate the character of medical practice you presently contemplate?
Thank you!Yes, I did.
Sorry this may be a stupid question, but for the professional head shot photo should I upload a picture where I'm in a suit and tie?Yes, I did.
Definitely wear at least business casual.Sorry this may be a stupid question, but for the professional head shot photo should I upload a picture where I'm in a suit and tie?
Also, is the photo required before you are considered for an interview?
i do have one its a 499 but i wanted to retake it. wil they still consider the new oneunless you have a prior MCAT, you can't be an applicant for this cycle
A 499 is fine for Morehouse, as long as your app is strong in other places!i do have one its a 499 but i wanted to retake it. wil they still consider the new one
I have a 3.34 master in biomedical sciences and a 2.89 overall i doubt i will get in . I have shadowing and worked in the hospital. I probably just end up going to do schoolA 499 is fine for Morehouse, as long as your app is strong in other places!
wow thank you so much! I could not find the lastest considered date on the actual school website, but I see it on MSAR now! Good luck to you <3
Edit:
I just emailed admission and they said that due to Covid they will accept all September test dates! YAY!
Urgent: please help me out:
I have the fee waiver and answered "yes" to the fee waiver question in the portal. I submitted my secondary just now, and the confirmation page in the portal gave me the link to pay for the fee.
Should I email the school a screenshot of my fee waiver confirmation from AAMC? or they will automatically waive it after applicants submit their secondaries?
Thanks for your time!
THANK YOU so much for easing my concern. 🙂)))I asked them about this cuz I also have FAP, but the payment link still showed up. If you have already uploaded your FAP waiver to the secondary portal, you are considered complete! 🙂 The payment link doesn't mean anything for us. If you have not yet uploaded your FAP, you can do so in the Required Documents tab under the "AAMC Fee Waiver Verifiction Form."
Not yet!Has anyone heard since the last round of interviews went out (around 08/11-08/19 I think)?
fingers crossed this week we hear something! Not yet!
I can't find their email anywhere. Would you be able to post it here?I emailed but no response :/

Any current students please drop the things you love the most about Morehouse. I'm trying to get some extra perspective on the school before my interview. Please
Does anyone know if they reject before sending secondary? And if they send u a secondary, is it a screened one?
Everyone here is treated like family. Its the environment and people I enjoy the most.Any current students please drop the things you love the most about Morehouse. I'm trying to get some extra perspective on the school before my interview. Please
We received it and very grateful. Wishing class of 2025 the best!Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is donating $100 million to the nation's four historically Black medical schools: Howard University's College of Medicine in Washington, the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Meharry Medical College in Nashville, and the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. The schools said they will use the donations to create scholarships of up to $100,000 for students currently enrolled and receiving financial aid. I hope those who get to attend this school will be able to receive this awesome financial gift! 😀
