I finished interviewing this week and wasn't able to attend the Q&A this afternoon. Did admissions give any idea on when we should expect to hear back?

Haven't interviewed yet but previous commenters have said about 6 weeks. What was your interview experience like? I'm interviewing here in 2 weeks for the regular MD program and am so excited!

My interview experience was really positive! The student interview was really chill as well as the faculty interview. Best of luck!
 
Can anyone who interviewed already this year share about their group interview experience? I've heard in past years they did some sort of team building exercise so I'm curious how that will work virtually

It's essentially a group discussion about a health care-related topic. Can't get into too much details because NDA

Hi! Would you mind elaborating a little more to the extent you feel comfortable sharing? I have never heard of a group student interview. How big is the group and is there someone rating you depending on your participation? And is it more relaxed?

Yea, group interviews are definitely not common. I was grouped with 4 other students, and there were two current med students to facilitate and take notes. I'm not sure if there is a rating system, but the students were clear that they were taking notes of us (I'm sure they commented on our participation). It was somewhat relaxed, but I'll be honest I kinda felt we were fighting to say the best things (i.e. sound the smartest/most thoughtful). No one was speaking over others, and everyone was nice/professional, but I still got that vibe (maybe it's just me).

If you're looking for ways to prepare, practice ethical questions.

This was the feeling I got as well. I’ve done two other group activities/interviews but they didn’t feel the same way as this one. I think it was more so the prompts. They needed more “meat” on them tbh. I felt like everyone reached a point where they were just talking in circles and trying to search for something profound to say to fill time because there just wasn’t THAT much to discuss.
 
Anyone interviewing the week of Dec 2-4 they are updating the portals this afternoon with the interview times & photo tab. I just called the admissions office since we're within 2 weeks and my portal hadn't been updated yet. Just saving anyone else the call if you were wondering like I was! 🙂
 
Is there a button to withdraw your app? Not sure if mine disappeared because of movement or if it was never there to begin with.

(ahhh, gotta love the obsessive checking on apps)
 
My watch has ended. Pre-II R last night. Complete 7/17. MCAT 514 GPAs 3.89. ORM. OOS with strong family ties. This was my top choice, so it was definitely a blow, but thankfully I was accepted to my state school two days prior to ease the pain lol
 
I interviewed on 10/28 and I haven't received any call yet. I thought the interview went really well. I'm freaking out that I got rejected now. Do you think they're done sending out admissions for this batch or do you think they'll still send them sunday or monday?

I think there’s a good chance that they will continue contacting people for the next two weeks. This is earlier the an I expected to hear from UWSMPH at all (I was anticipating December calls).
 
All of these decisions that came out today are making me increasingly nervous/neurotic for my decision in the coming weeks...

I'm so surprised that people who were interviewed on 10/30 and 11/6 received the calls so early. I was interviewed from Nov 11/12-11/13, and the admissions said i won't hear back till mid-January...

Yikes really? I interviewed 11/21 and was told by someone above mid-December. Really hoping its not pushed past the holidays..

Considering they called A’s on 11/25, they are probably ahead of their schedule from earlier in the month. Good luck and I hope you receive good news 🙂
 
I can't imagine that admissions would be thrilled about that type of call, but I also can't imagine that they'll do anything to your application in response to you calling for clarification.

On the portal it says to wait 8 weeks and then you can call or email! The wait is the worst 😭
 
Pre-II R just now. OOS but had some connections, currently living in WI. So yeah kinda bummed. Best of luck to yall . Complete 9/18
