Thank you! Is it just straight-up A/R? or can they put you on hold and delay their decision on you? They’re usually pretty quick! They’ll tell you a few weeks but in my experience you can find out in about 2 weeks.

It will either be an acceptance, rejection, or put on the alternate list (waitlist) that has three tiers (top, middle, and bottom third). Keep in mind that with these early interviews, the first day to find out for any medical school isn't until on or after Oct. 15, so you could be waiting more than 2 weeks in that case.Thank you! Interview in October. How’d it go? Would you say it was pretty conversational and that they wanted to get to know you?Just finished my first interview here. Best of luck to you all 🙂
Yes but I had some pretty tough questionsInterview in October. How’d it go? Would you say it was pretty conversational and that they wanted to get to know you?
By pretty tough, do you mean like ethical questions or questions about you and your application/story?Yes but I had some pretty tough questions
Like the questions were complex with several parts and required long answers. Mostly about me and healthcare in general.By pretty tough, do you mean like ethical questions or questions about you and your application/story?
Was it stressful? I’ve heard some med schools purposefully make interviews stressful to see how you handle it.Yes but I had some pretty tough questions
No it didn’t feel stressful they weren’t grilling me and they didn’t ask a bunch of extra follow ups to my answers. Honestly it could’ve been that I didn’t prepare v well for 1-2 of the questions ?? Idk😵💫Was it stressful? I’ve heard some med schools purposefully make interviews stressful to see how you handle it.
These are pretty much the questions I had as well. Best of luck to you 🙂Just finished my first interview! I feel like EVMS is a good first interview to have. 2 people interviewed me (one faculty member & one student). It was overall not very stressful, but be prepared to answer questions about the healthcare system, health disparities, and how you feel EVMS will enable you to become the best physician you can be.
Same to you! These are pretty much the questions I had as well. Best of luck to you 🙂
Were there many ethical or situational questions?Just finished my first interview here. Best of luck to you all 🙂
I didn't get any during my interview. Mostly asked about problems in healthcare and health disparities. Were there many ethical or situational questions?

The Wednesday info session is from 9:30 to around 1:30-2ish. The actual interview day is pretty short and sweet. Your interview will only last between 30-45 minutes.for those who have interviewed here already, how long was the day? Trying to figure out if I need to take the whole day off from work
did they email you specifically about the info session dates and times? I have no message about that. Thanks for the response!!The Wednesday info session is from 9:30 to around 1:30-2ish. The actual interview day is pretty short and sweet. Your interview will only last between 30-45 minutes.

The Info session on Wednesdays is what I’m referring to btw.Are the interview sessions mandatory and do I have to join for the full time? I have an exam during the session time but would like to attend.
I know in my email that I received from them prior to the interview that if you are unable to attend the information session that is held during the week of your interview, you are welcome to attend any of the other information sessions throughout the rest of the cycle. The login information for the session is the same each weekAre the interview sessions mandatory and do I have to join for the full time? They aren't mandatory but my policy has been to attend everything a school offers if at all possible. I figure the more they see me, the more familiar I am. It also shows dedication to the school. The Info session on Wednesdays is what I’m referring to btw.
Yes; they actually encourage them! They take up to 6 updates sent in PDF form through the end of the cycle.does EVMS take updates?
thank you! how do you send them? do you email it to them because I am looking on the secondary portal and it doesn't look like there is an option thereYes; they actually encourage them! They take up to 6 updates sent in PDF form through the end of the cycle.
You would send them as a PDF attachment to their admissions email: [email protected]thank you! how do you send them? do you email it to them because I am looking on the secondary portal and it doesn't look like there is an option there
I wouldn’t. I would only send a LOI if waitlisted.can you/should you send a letter of interest before an II to EVMS?
Idk how much I can say but the questions are pretty much typical interview questions. I didn’t really have a questions that stood out to me as a curveball or anythingWhat types of questions were asked at the interview? How much weight is put on these interviews? Getting nervous as the day comes closer, I’m definitely not an all star interviewer. Hoping my primary and secondary can get me in lol.
AAMC guidelines are that the earliest a school can let you know about a decision is October 15th. Good luck with your interview!Interview next week getting stressed lol. Anybody who interviewed in early/mid September heard back from them?
The guideline only applies to acceptances. They can let you know you've been rejected at any point.AAMC guidelines are that the earliest a school can let you know about a decision is October 15th. Good luck with your interview
Check the delivery system you used for letters. If nothing seems amiss, then call admissions and ask which they are missing.Emailed today about not having a complete status. Said they're waiting on 2 letters from AMCAS. Think I'm gonna be sick 🙁
Anyone know of anything I can do about it?
