2021-2022 Tulane

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
But did you write it in a letter format? And say Dear....
Yes it was in letter format. I didn't put my address because I was not fond of including personal info that they already had, but I did include my AMCAS ID and addressed it as "Dear Tulane University School of Medicine Admissions Committee," and you NEVER want to say "To whom it may concern"

Dear Tulane University School of Medicine Admissions Committee,

Eric Andre GIF

Sincerely,

Do you think it matters if an update is over a page? My update is about 1.5 pages.

anyone heard back in terms of post-interview decisions?

Interviewed 9/15 and haven't heard anything yet. Staying hopeful!

Wonderful Update: Just got the A! Be on the look out everyone!
Ahhhhh I interviewed the same day and now I’m hyper vigilant. Congrats!!!!

I'm not sure if this is a logical question to ask, but does Tulane applicants typically can expect a decision ~1-2 months after interview here or more common for around March? TYIA!

I’ve seen in previous threads that there’s usually a groupme for accepted students. Anyone know if that’s the case this year?

Based on what I've heard from admitted students this year, there isn't a groupme yet. I don't think the SOM has anything official.

sorry but what does AR mean?
I think that's Acceptance Range

This is from their site :

Committee Action

Typically within 3-5 weeks after the interview, the application goes before the full Admission Committee for evaluation. The Committee may decide to accept an applicant, place the applicant on a "acceptance range" wait list or reject an applicant. No mathematical formula are used in making this decision and no specific guidelines are given to committee members to place particular weight upon MCAT's, GPA, or other parts of the completed application.
Acceptances are offered weekly, beginning October 1 and continuing until the class is filled. Each week, the Committee may elect to send offers of acceptance to applicants from the "acceptance range" list or to send offers of admissions only to applicants whose files have been reviewed that week.

Sorry to hear about that! when did you complete and go under review ? what's your LM if you don't mind

Hi!! I was excited about this school but it's alright. I was complete Sep 4 and under review Oct 12.

Just got II hold. Went under review 9/26. Has anyone on hold actually gotten an II or is this just a subtle R
