I was under the impression that 6 months meant just 1 semester & a year was 2 semesters.. if that’s the case wondering if people who got an ii & dont have calc can just take a summer course
I would think 1 semester. Plus, MSAR said prereqs need to be done by Jan 2023 anyway

Again, you're missing what I'm saying. For VA HPSP, you don't SERVE in the military. You work for the VA; completely different.
Yes but still a service oblication of 6 years, which is something to consider for anyone applying.... this is neither good or bad, I personally love to work for the VA overall.

I feel like they will probably change that policy. Seems like they have been changing things around a lot.
they gotta make concessions if they want to fill the class with the people they want

Yes, I know. But I was being specific to differentiate between the military service vs VA service requirement because some don't know and wanted the person who was asking specifics to know how the VA HPSP differs from the military HPSP.

Is anyone attending the President's Breakfast event this morning? If so, have you received the virtual link for the event?

It’s live streaming on YouTube

If you’ve interviewed, you should be receiving an email regarding for the prerequisites and how to list them out for school

Should I be worried if I interviewed and did not receive the email? 😬

I’m taking Calc 1 over the summer. Waiting to hear back on how to include that in the table. Will get back to y’all here that are in a similar boat

So those who have interviewed and received an email from Rufina today, based on CDUs updated prereqs, do you all not have all of them currently? I interviewed and didn't receive an email.

I fulfilled them all. I have a year of biochem and only a semester of calc, but the chart seems as though we only need 1 semester for both of those courses so we should all be good.

I'm honestly confused why they chose to make calculus a prereq instead of just a semester of math because I took a semester of a higher math because my school accepted my AP scores for both calculus classes

But, I also got an interview and did not receive an email today so I am very confused and stressed ugh

That’s interesting. How can I get more info about HPSP? Do they cover all the tuition cost plus cost of living ? What’s the pay like when you work for them? And is it similar to federal loan forgiveness programs?

Google VA HPSP to go to their website
And no to your last question

I went to quarter system school. Do you think that’s why I didn’t receive the email?

Did those that receive the email attend a semester running school?

It's not about the type of system but rather how the title of the courses are written. For ex: at one school Biol 101 might be labeled as Biology I, another might have it listed as two separate courses Biology I Lec and Biology I Lab, another might have Biology I Lec/Lab. All three have labs but 1 of them doesn't explicitly state the lab part.
