This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i did not receive it. I interviewed in dec. I have taken hella science classes, and the pre reqs are pretty easy to tell from my app. Maybe it was sent to those that have taken pre reqs that seemed off? I know sometimes people count certain classes towards pre reqs or the titles of classes seem off.

Did you receive it once ? Maybe it’s for those of us that have taken hella classes lol
I haven't received any email from them. I took a lot of classes since I did a post bacc. I would have felt a bit better if they were calling. I'm worried that they sent a mass of acceptances tonight and the rest of us will be waitlisted or rejected 🥲

lol same. it says please respond within 72 hours so maybe more A’s will come this week. Praying!!

Tbh though I’m sure it’s because maybe the names of some of them are confusing or something. Just a checklist. I’ll prob fill it out later when I’m on my laptop.

Hi everyone. I just made an account to share that I also got the email about the pre-req checklist last week and received an A today. Keep the faith! Best of wishes to you all this cycle.
Thank you so much, so kind of u to share that! Makes me feel better haha. Congrats on that A! 💗

Wow. Congrats!!! When did you guys receive the email (morning, afternoon)?

My heart started beating faster. ugh.

Sorry I’ve just been sharing the news with family and I felt like I was short on here.

I Interviewed on 02/03, didn’t receive any communication from them for the exception of the research day invite.

I got an email at 5:30pm PST with the acceptance.

This is my only acceptance thus far, really manifesting As for all waiting.

Premeds trying to predict who gets the elusive A. Did you get the prereq form? Were you born in a leap year? Does ketchup belong on sandwiches? We need answers.

Wow I feel personally attacked

Did you get up at 8 am today? Maybe there’s a correlation. Ok but more importantly.. what’s ur zodiac??

I just realized why I got the preq checklist. Most schools require a semester or quarter of organic chem lab. Apparently cdu needs a full year of ochem lab. I’m mos likely not gonna get an Acceptance. Smh

I’m missing some prereqs myself (Physics 2 and Calc 1). But I just put in progress on the checklist. We have until matriculation to complete them. If we don’t get an A because of courses we *still* have time to take. We can’t stress ourselves out now about it 🤷🏾‍♀️

You didn't have lab with orgo 2? (My school didn't split the Lec and Lab when we registered for classes so we couldn't take it without the other)

That’s interesting. My premed advisors really misguided me. I wanted to take organic chem lab 2 but they said my major didn’t require it and med schools only need one organic chem lab. My schools labs and lecture courses were taught separately by separate instructors. I hope CDU can overlook this

Just to update, and in case this gives anyone peace of mind, if you receive a second prereqs email it was sent in error. Rufina confirmed that they received my first email and my prereqs are marked as complete.

Ahhh gotcha. I was a chemistry major but my school advised all pre meds to take both.
Ugh pre med advisors

The requirements for this school are very strange, and they are asking for more than what is usually required. I wish they wouldn’t use the “year” format and instead use the credits or units format.

I don't think your premed advisors misguided you. I have not seen another school other than CDU asking for a year of organic chemistry lab and a year of general chemistry lab. Like your undergraduate school, many institutions only offer one semester/quarter of each respective lab. Trying to do more would be going down the route of a Chemistry/Biochem major.
