Does anyone know how long it takes to go from O'Hare to RFU? I just wanted to make sure so I can make my flight home in time. Google Maps said about 40 minutes, but I'm not sure if traffic will be bad. Thanks guys!
 
Barring any further flight delays, I should be visiting RFU tomorrow.

Will any other SDNers be around?

If it's at the end of the day, traffic will be god awful. Sorry! If Google Maps says 40mins, it may take an hour or up to a hour and a half. I-294/I-90 are TERRIBLE....

Thanks! Good to know. I decided to choose the flight that's 6 hours after the interview day ends to give myself some time.... I don't wanna almost miss my flight this time haha.

No problemo, just trying to make as many PSAs about the terrible Chicago traffic + construction 🙂
 
I just got this status email earlier today:

Your file is complete and has passed a primary screening. This means you are in the pool of applicants who may be invited to interview with CMS. However, this does not guarantee an invitation and you may be invited to interview or declined an interview at anytime during the admissions process.

Does this mean "small-pooled" or is this the message everyone gets prior to being "small-pooled?"

this is the "small-pool" email =)
 
I received this email today too. Took a long time though, I sent my application in in early July.
 
I received a status message that said:

"This email is to notify you that your materials have been received, and your application is complete. Your file will now go through an initial screening process... etc... etc.."

Is this what everyone received before the "small pool" email or is this a different response?

Yeah, that's the email I received before the "small pool" email.

this is the complete msg.. i got this before the small pool one!!

i have been in the so called small-pool for a month and its getting kinda cold 😏

Fine...smallER pool lol. Basically, it denotes that you are in the pool they send invites to. At this point you have made it into a smallER pool of applicants who haven't been rejected yet.
 
people have gotten invites here with and without the small pool msg but it just feels reassuring to have passed the initial screening i guess!! hopefully we'll all get interviews soon :luck:

a few rejections have been showing up on my mdapps trackboard.

edit: though I don't know whether or not they'd been small-pooled.
 
hey guys, do you think its too late to still send in the secondary, im cdn, mccat 31s, cgpa gpa 3.84 ? i gt the secondary SO long ago, but never got around to completing it ....do you thin its worth it?
 
Interview invite today. Submitted secondary mid-August, complete 8/30, small pooled two weeks ago.

All the spots available are in November.
 
There is hope for the small pool!!! Last Monday I was small pooled, and today I got an invite 🙂

Email, and you get to pick from a long list of interview dates. They seem to do a lot of interviews each month.
 
8/19 : secondary submitted
9/1: secondary complete
9/24: small pooled
10/8: Interview invite via email !!! (exactly 2 weeks after being small pooled)

Shooting for Nov. 9th. Hope to see SDNers there!
 
Submitted 9/1
Complete 9/8
Small-pooled 10/5
Invite 10/8

All interview dates are in November.

I got an invite too! Complete sometime around 9/12, small-pooled 10/5, invite today 10/8. Kinda surprising considering how long they took for most other things...I'm hoping for November 30th so I can head there from home after thanksgiving and save me a 6-hour drive from school in probable winter weather...
 
Oh man I was small pooled on 10/5 too. Not holding my breath though lol.
 
Approximately how long does it take to be marked complete?
 
i was small pooled back in 9/9 and nothing so far 🙁 im kinda losing hope a little but it would be awesome to get an invite on my bday :xf:
 
I submitted my app late august and was just marked complete this week....anyone else?

:highfive: happy birthday he2!! you have the same email for facebook and applications? i would go crazy that way, but then again an empty inbox for my application emails isn't the best either! i would rather have an empty inbox than a rejection though.. i must say this because last time i complained i got a rejection email right away 😏
 
i do, but im beginning to rethink that decision :scared:

I recieved a secondary a while back and I have completed it, but just havent got around to submitting it yet. Around what month did interview start?
 
I got the secondary received e-mail Sept. 8. Still not complete. Hoping soon since it seems they're getting to around that time now since late Augusts are starting to be complete. 😕

Interview Invite for me as well. IS (not sure how much that matters at RFU).

Secondary Received: 7/1
Secondary submitted: 9/14 (Yeah, I was very slow)
Complete: 9/25
Small Pooled: 10/5
Invite: 10/8

Should be just a few days now, I think I got my received email around 9/3
