I got an interview invite as well... and I think I was complete maybe early October, and I've been in the "small" pool for a while too. The options I had were March 14, 21, 28, and April 4, so it looks like they continue interviews for quite a while.
 
heyy you guys who are just getting interviews now after being in the pool for months (i've been in for monthsss) do you mind putting up your stats? i read that people have been getting them today and i've been checking my email non stop haha!

does RFU still plan on having a med school class this year? They haven't accepted anybody in more than two months what the heck are they doing??????

True, but it's pretty unlikely that at least one person wouldn't use SDN and post about an acceptance after a committee meeting. I'd say its likely they haven't accepted anybody since Dec 13th
 
cms hasnt given out any acceptances since Dec because they did not have their admissions committee meeting in Jan. It was canceled. So I am sure they will account for that in their Feb decisions (maybe). But we should hear either this week or the next one for decisions.
 
Hey! I just interviewed at CMS and they told us that if we haven't heard back from the adcom by March 1st, we should contact them. Hope that eases some nerves!
 
Called in November and asked when they'd get me out of the small pool. They said wow, you've been in there a long time, it'd be crazy if you didn't hear anything by December...... Called today February... and they said I could be interviewed into April.... They've been very nice on the phone, but holy moly, this seems ridiculous.
 
yayayayayy accepted today!! email came at 11:24 AM. and to top it all off, my birthday is today 😀

Interviewed last week, was just placed on hold today. Reading some of the comments, gives me a good impression. Hope to join you all as your classmate.
 
interviewed in november. placed on hold in december and then again today. hopefully i will get the same result as alphasyn next month! :xf:

Interviewed early Feb, placed on hold today.

What are the chances this late in the game? Is this the equivalent of being Waitlisted?
 
What are my chances now?
I was complete: 11/18
Placed in Primary screening: 1/11
And i havent heard anything since 🙁
Any thoughts?

I interviewed in October as well and was placed on hold again today. You keep my glimmer of hope alive

Complete and placed in primary screening on those same exact days, I haven't heard anything either. They must still be reviewing the batch of us in that pile.

I'm sitting in a list at one place and have a 50/50 shot at getting in, but it would be nice to get a chance somewhere else too. :xf:
 
just curious to know how many of the interviewees do they accept?? couldn't find recent info online.
 
anybody know of any post interview rejections? Do they actually reject post interview or are the options accept or hold?
 
I just canceled my interview for next monday today. Hopefully it goes to someone.

Sorry for the late reply. I was in the interview pool from months and months (I had a quick turnaround with the secondary and entered the pool pretty quickly).

With that being said, I withdrew my application earlier today. I hope one you guys gets my spot! :xf::luck:

I would totally pay however much it would cost for that Monday interview...wonder if the spot will go to any SDNers?

The choices I got were:

Feb 28th
March 28th
Apr 4th
Apr 11th
Apr18th

But I received an email a day after I got the invite saying that the Feb 28th date is full. So, presumably, only the last 4 (or last 3) dates are available.

Congrats to those who have already gotten in and good luck to the rest!! I am with the latter group and just hoping for the best. Anyways, I was wondering if CMS has given out acceptances to those who interviewed in Dec? Also, if I were to be put on the waitlist post-interview, then what are my chances of getting accepted?

Just withdrew my acceptance from October due to just receiving an offer instate. Good luck everyone! and, if you have multiple offers, make hard decisions and free up spots to help everyone out 🙂
 
Hi everyone. I was accepted at RFUMS and I'm pretty sure I'll be attending. Does anyone know if there is a facebook group or something so I can get to know my classmates? I'll be looking for a roommate for on campus housing. 🙂

I made the group so that we can all get to know each other, discuss housing, etc. I hope everyone joins when they get accepted!

Does anyone know if there's a page to check your status? Are u guys just getting info about being put in the pool, receiving interviews, etc via email? I've turned in my app awhile now and haven't heard much...

there is no such page. gotta wait for emails. strange, no?
 
Anyone else pre-interview but no rejection yet?? I'm thinking it's basically a rejection at this point, but with no status check page, floating around in confusion....maybe being held for last minute cancels of interview dates? Who knows?

They interview through April so maybe they're not done inviting yet?
 
been in small pool since July still. No word. I've called a few times and they just keep telling me they interview into April.

Don't lose hope. I didn't think I would get an interview this late but was able to a week ago. And the latest date they gave me was April 25. So there's still time!

what was the earliest date they gave you?

Also, I thought they interviewed into early May? Or have they changed it to late April?

April 4th was the earliest. Although, I ended up choosing one of the later ones. Do you guys think that was wise? Should I call them up and change to an earlier date? I just have a bunch of upcoming exams...Thanks in advance!

Thanks for sharing the open dates!

I don't know how qualified I am to answer your question, but personally, I don't think choosing a later date by only a few weeks is going to harm you that much. I know someone who was accepted after interviewing in May last year, so I guess the most important thing is that you do well at your interview! Good luck :luck: !
 
I called to see if they are still giving interviews. They said they interview until end of April so if we're in the pool, we may still get called. My guess is they hold some people even without granting interview in case there are last minute cancellations.
 
accepted today 🙂 interviewed 10/6... it's been a long wait.

I received an interview invite today after being small-pooled in January. They are still definitely giving out interviews!
