General question: if the 8AM-11AM block is blank, does that mean we don't check-in until the tour at 11AM?

It says to check in by 10:30 if you have an afternoon interview

I'm not sure but I had everything submitted on July, 21. I would have had it in earlier but I didn't receive the secondary and had to email them a few weeks after everyone started getting them.
 
Yep, Brochure in the mail yesterday---interview invite the next..........In my interview email it says, "Interviews in St. Louis are conducted on Tuesdays." However, when you select an interview from the calendar there are Mondays and Tuesdays open to interview. Did anyone notice this?

Is receiving a little pamphlet via snail mail usually indicative of an interview invite to come? If so, that would be schweeeeeet because I received a brochure yesterday haha.
 
Just received the brochure through snail mail...hopefully indicative of something good.
 
I think it is likely that the brochure went to everyone who applied and it doesn't mean anything.
 
So I haven't received an official interview email but I opened my application page and it said "Select interview tab to confirm date of interview." Does everyone have these instructions? Or did I somehow not get an interview email?
 
Somehow you didn't get the e-mail. Congrats!

You might want to check your spam filters, etc. to make sure it doesn't happen in the future!
 
It is extremely unlikely that you've received an accidental interview invite. 😉

I'm interviewing in two weeks, but haven't received a brochure yet. Should I call and ask for one?
 
The last thing on my schedule is 2:45 - does that mean I can schedule a trip out for 3:30ish? I don't want to leave early but...I dont want to stay late haha

Interviews are held on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The interview day consists of 1 interview (either morning or afternoon), a tour (11am-noon) and lunch with students (noon-1pm). If your interview is scheduled to end at 245, then you probably shouldn't schedule a flight any sooner than 4pm. The airport is about 25-30 minutes away from SLU (without traffic).

I am interviewing at St. Louis on Monday and I can't access their server and thus can't see my itinerary! This is my first interview so I might be unnecessarily freaking out, but I just really want to see my it! Is everyone else having problems accessing the oasprod3 server (which they and other schools use for their application) and do you know if this is some sort of scheduled maintenance?

Yes, all e-mail correspondences with the admissions office go in your file.

As stated above by JDoc, there are indeed interviews on both Mondays and Tuesdays.

Experiencing the same thing. As well as with other schools that use the oasprod3 system.
 
Hi, has anyone had an afternoon interview? The last flight I can book is at 5:40 pm. I don't know if should go ahead and book it or wait to see if new flights will be available. Thanks!

you might want to wait until they update your itinerary with your interview time slot since the latest one ends at 4.45pm i believe.
 
Received email telling me that I am not elgible for financial aid, escrow etc etc.

Go into status page, Interview tab is visible! Yay. So interview invite for me 😀


Time to find when I can take off at least 2 more days off school :S

I also see an interview tab in my application. Does that mean an interview invite? I never received an email invite though..

I would assume so, seeing as you can choose a date and everything.
 
Just called admissions office.

Looks like I got an interview invite. Their emailing system is currently having problems, so I recommend everyone to check their application status and look to see if there's an interview tab that shows a calender of interview dates!

effffffffffffffffffffffffffffff... I still haven't heard anything from this school. Super frustrating.
 
Going in for an interview soon. My interviewer is a radiology professor. Do I need to express interest in the radiology program/brush up on radiology/learn about rad research happening at SLU?

I'm getting anxious. I think I have gotten lucky/spoiled so far this interview season because if a day goes by and I don't hear anything from any schools, I get extremely frustrated :laugh:

Um, really? I wouldn't think so! I mean, do if you're really interested in it, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.
 
Interviewed yesterday 9/19, if anyone has questions. Dean said we would have to wait until after 10/15 for decision (per AAMC). First time I heard of this.

I submitted my 2nd app around 29th of June. received email invite around 3am this morning

Just nervous I guess. I'm worried he'll bring it up since I did shadow a radiologist a while back and it wasn't my thing.
 
My interview is only a week away. Super nervous. It's my first med school interview.

I'm not staying with students, since I have family in the Lou really close to SLU. Does that seem like an OK thing? I am still open to spending additional time with current students post-interview.

Don't know if this is a coincidence, but I shadowed a pathologist and I'm gonna be interviewed by one.. weird. :shrug:

Haha, not sure how SLU operates, maybe they do it on purpose. I interviewed with a pathologist last year at OHSU and had no experience whatsoever w/ path or research. I felt uncomfortable the whole time.
