Can anyone who’s already interviewed comment on the schedule? My interview is at 11am but that doesn’t really match up with the morning or afternoon check in time (8:30 or 11:45) and it also seems off with the schedule of events..

If your interview is at 11, then you have to check-in at the morning time so 8:30 am. Then, there usually is a Financial Aid information session and a Student Panel.

Just wondering does the portal change to “under review” or something like that after your interview. And if so, what does it say?

When I interviewed, they told me to just show up 15 min before my interview time. People who had interviews at 11 showed up at 10:45, interviewed, then had the information session at noon with everyone else. I got there around 9:30 for my 10:15 interview just in case I got lost but it was pretty easy to find and I just ended up talking to other interviewees while waiting for mine so I feel like it calmed me down.
So the bottom line is I'm pretty sure you only have to check in 15 min before your interview but feel free to show up at any time earlier. Call your respective campus just to double check though. Best of luck!!!

I was also confused about that (my interview time was 2:15 but "check-in" was 12:30) and emailed admission. You have to show up to the check-in time, and then things like info sessions started 30 mins after check in.

I got there maybe 12:20 and I was still like, the last person to arrive lol. I don't think you are impressing anyone with influence over decisions by showing up extra early though.

If you are not interviewing in Indy definitely double check cause it may well be different.

My interview was at 11 am. So I checked in at 8:15 am. I had an hour after that to just chill in the waiting area, look up my interviewers and talk to other students. I then went to a financial aid session and then walked to my interview at 11. After the student panel I was done by 1 p.m.

I've had an II from here for a Scholarly Concentration for a while, but my interview was just scheduled. Does anyone know if the location of the interview is the campus you will be interviewing for? The location of my scheduled interview is different from my 1st, 2nd or 3rd preference Scholarly Concentrations

I think that means you were deferred from SCP to regular admissions but I would call admissions just to make sure!

Anyone else having a really hard time getting an email response from admissions these days? They used to always get back to me within a day or two, but right now I have one email I sent over a week ago that still isn't replied to, plus a follow up from just a couple days ago I am still waiting to hear back about. I'm about to resort to just calling them, hopefully that will work better.

Its a bit nerve-wracking since the topic of the email was "hey, I'd like to withdraw from the scholarly conc priority placement program, and I won't be coming to the scheduled interview for the program." The interview date is long past by now, and for all I know some of the people in admissions might just be assuming I arbitrarily no-call no-showed on the interview.

+1, emailed them 4 days ago to ask about when the hell I'm going to get an interview date, still no response.

I haven’t tried emailing so I can’t confirm nor deny any email responsiveness but I called admissions yesterday and the woman I talked to was extremely helpful.

Yeah, after calling them today I second that. It was a much faster and more effective way to get the help I needed. Not great news for people with an aversion to phone calls I suppose.

R just now. OOS, primary submitted 6/28. For those of you curious I didn't apply SCP. Good luck to all!

When I interviewed in Indy, there were alot of people there interviewing for different SCP. I dont think you have to interview at the place where the SCP is.

You guys literally need to be patient with interview dates. It's hard but calling and emailing will make you look so bad, trust me I've heard admissions people rant about how annoying it is when people constantly call and email and don't have the self-confidence to just wait.

True, but it's been a month since I got my II and I still don't have a date, which is incredibly frustrating and frankly I think unprofessional of the admissions office to not communicate anything for so long.

you're completely right! but it took me like 6 weeks or something. It's hard, I know!

When i interviewed here, I really loved the faculty that interviewed me, and I really enjoyed the campus. I come from a commuter NYC school so it was sick to see sprawling IU. That being said, the other 2 spots ive interviewed at had whole entire folders they have out, and this school had a sheet of paper. They didn't give out match lists, and they had a massive interview group. It was an odd feeling because the interview day was meh but the school seemed pretty lit

Did you interview in Indy? Keep in mind that most people get sent to regional campuses! I wouldn't base everything off location, as some of the regional campuses are pretty rural!

Does anyone who interviewed in October think we might heard any news following the Oct 15 committee meeting???

Sent from my iPhone using SDN

Looking at previous years, it seems that October interviewees almost always heard back after the November meeting (or later), although I'd love it if they could prove me wrong.

Probably not, but I'd be the happiest gal alive if we did!!!! I'm holding onto a little bit of hope...

Everything that IU admissions team has done so far has been slow moving tbh. I will be very surprised if their turnaround on admissions is that fast.

When I was on the phone with admissions last week I took the chance to ask if I should expect to receive a decision on the 15th since I interviewed the second week of September. I was told that its still up in the air, no guarantees we will hear back tomorrow. So I won't be holding my breath waiting for an email from them.

So I won't be holding my breath waiting for an email from them.

Unless they’ve deviated from their standard operating procedure for the past few years, they only send acceptances via paper mail and then update the portal a few days after.

has anyone's portals updated or IUB student center updated with an acceptance?
nope. My student center still says my application is missing materials even though my portal shows everything as complete :-(

So I received my interview date today aaaaaand it's on the same day that I have another interview. I know they said it's NOT RECOMMENDED to reschedule, but the other school is giving off similar vibes. Anybody had experience trying to reschedule an interview date here yet?

I was in the identical situation. I emailed and asked to reschedule and they replied after a few days and said they would evaluate if they would reschedule and that it wasn't guaranteed but that they would let me know. After a week they got back with me and rescheduled.

Thanks for the help!

II, OOS. They will reschedule, I had to reschedule twice, so don't worry!

How long, on average, does it take for the application status to be changed from "missing materials" to "under consideration"? I have all the materials in (green checkmarks) and have interviewed already. I don't really know what else may be missing and do not want to contact the admissions team unnecessarily.

Hey! Where are you searching for your application status ? In the portal with the supplementary materials I don't see a tab like that

Hey! It's on the Student Center link through One.IU. I am still affiliated with IU so I still have access to my IU account which is where you can find the Student Center.

@fingerprintdreams A friend pointed out that since they changed applications this year that the system might not actually update to under consideration like last year. But that’s just a thought! Bc from last years thread, it seemed as if the update was fairly timely.

Ahh so if I wasn't IU affiliated I'd have no way of knowing ?
I believe so, yes, since the application is inaccessible without an IU account.

Thank you for that thought. I looked at last year’s thread and based my information off of that. I was getting worried that maybe I was missing something on my end but I truly had no reason to contact admissions.

Any OOS people get accepted here so far this year? If so, can you please PM me! I have some questions!! Congrats btw.

Anyone get the email saying "Your application is complete and ready to go before the committee" today? I interviewed for rural med on the 3rd and am expecting a decision next month according to the information presented to us at the interview day.

They send those emails out once they have your interview notes in file and you're ready for review next month!

Hmm...I interviewed in September and never got that email? Had all green check marks for a while now too.
