Obviously I am not certain as IU is not very transparent about their process, but I would guess that you will not hear anything this month because they probably have not reviewed your application yet. I would guess that your application will not be reviewed until, at the earliest, the committee meeting for December decisions.

I think I saw on last year's thread that they didnt send out acceptances in December. Does anyone know if this is true or if this is changing this year?

I have a friend who was accepted in December last year. Not sure about this year

I went through the last few years' threads about a month ago, and it seemed like the majority of post-II R's and WL's went out when the cycle was basically finished. But if anyone knows differently please correct me!
 
For those who received the acceptance letter, when did your portal update??

Tbh, the letter might not even come. I'd advise that you check your portal. I interviewed 9/11 and was accepted 10/15, but my portal did not update until late October (10/21) and I had to call into the office for them to resend a letter.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I received my official letter from them last week (11/13).

wow, so you didn't even know about your acceptance till like 2 weeks after it happened?

So what appears on the portal when the acceptance is updated there? Is there a new tab open, or does it go under status?
 
My portal updated 6-7 days after the decisions were made on 10/15. Never got my letter due to having an out of date address in AMCAS (oopsie), some other people have just had the letter get lost in the mail. I would think, in theory, most people should get the letter first (but maybe it depends on how close the 15th is to the weekend?).

@grantf12 A new tab appears ("admissions decision"), you can't miss it. Nothing shows up under the status tab as far as I can see.

I am, but after looking through the details of the service, it states that they only show scans of "enveloped-sized" mail (long, narrow envelopes). From the previous responses on the thread, it sounds as if the IU envelope is probably the size of a sheet of paper, so I get the impression that it might not show up on Informed Delivery?

Oh wow I didn’t know that! Aw man so it won’t really show for IU 🙁 My friend that got accepted last year did say it was a big folder/envelope.

I was on the waitlist last year. Interviewed in September both this year and last year.

Waitlist notifications go out in bulk some time in May. They sporadically accept people off the waitlist throughout the summer up until their cutoff, which is at 5PM on the first day of orientation.

So everyone who gets waitlisted finds out at the same time, regardless of when they interviewed. It was honestly a long, hellish wait.

I agree, I thought letters should have arrived today or at least the portal change, I don't know what is going on...

I think the first posts about letters coming in last year were on 11/21, but I definitely think some people will hear back in the next few days.
