Will SCP definitely hear? Will we still hear rejections/waitlists, or are we going to hear at the end of the cycle?
 
Any accepted November interviewees, when did you get the email your app was complete and ready to go before the committee?
 
Does anybody know when we get campus assignments?
 
Hey guys, I am a bit confused. If my interview is in the afternoon then I do the 12:30pm check-in? What do we do in the morning? Thanks
 
For any accepted people, are your pre-matriculation pages still showing as incomplete even though you've submitted the pertinent information/materials? I called into the office to confirm the receipt of my transcript and FAFSA (which they confirmed was received), but my portal is still showing that those tasks are incomplete.
 
Just a heads up for everyone. The website for background checks wants you to list all previous address and the months/years you lived at them, for the last 25 years. So if you don't already have that info saved somewhere you might be in for a hassle getting it rounded up.

I just had to email my Dad to get a list of all the places I've lived for my entire life starting at birth.
 
Does anyone know when we get the health and immunization form, or if we can request it earlier?
 
does anyone know when we hear about merit scholarships? i like this school as OOS but a little pricey. I was accepted in october URM

Here's what the financial aid section under the "prematriculation" tab says about merit based scholarships.

"Merit-based scholarships will be exclusively based on your medical school admissions academic information (Undergraduate GPA, MCAT scores and interview score). These decisions will be made beginning late-January. Be mindful that recruitment scholarships are extremely limited so only the very top tier students will be considered. Generally, students ranked in the top 50 will be considered first. This includes any students accepted early decision. Recruitment scholarships are four-year commitments, annual amounts of $18,000 for residents and $25,000 for nonresidents."

The full IS tuition scholarship that ten people will get this year is also supposed to be offered in January iirc.

Since you are URM, I do remember Jose mentioning in the financial aid lecture on interview day that there is scholarship money set aside specifically to recruit URM students. I don't know anything more about that though. It might be worthwhile to email Jose Espada about it. His contact info is listed in that same "financial aid section."
 
Just got an email:

" The Indiana University School of Medicine Admissions Committee did not recommend your acceptance into the Scholarly Concentration Priority Placement Program 2020 entering class.

Your application remains under consideration for the MD program, traditional track."

Odd thing is that I had a "normal" interview on 10/9 in Indianapolis, not for the SCP I applied for. So by that time I was already aware I was only in the running for the normal MD track. I saw the first line in the email preview and thought I had just been served the post-II R.

I got the same exact email about an hour ago. I also applied SCP and then was interviewed for the normal MD track in early November. So glad that this wasn't a post-II R and just a reminder that we aren't being considered for SCP anymore.

Also, can anyone please chime in how long it took for them to complete several portions of the "secondary" (I already read through all 22 pages of the thread and didn't see too much in regard to that). I apologize if it's already been noted explicitly in the thread and I missed it.

1. How long did it take for materials sent in to get marked complete? I read in the thread its done manually but I want to make sure I don't have my application withdrawn since it notes to pay within 7 days to receive a date. I already submitted the payment the day after I received the II.

2. How long did it take to receive an interview date after having received the e-mail?
 
Hey guys, I'm interviewing here soon (Indianapolis) and was wondering if anyone could speak to whether there's down time at all to chill and casually explore the med campus? Check-in for me is at 8:15 am but the portal says my interview isn't until 10:15 am...what happens in those two hours in between? Is it down time or the info/fin aid session?

Firstly, congrats! During that time you have an info session, Financial aid session and a bit of down time.
