Update just got put on hold . Submitted secondary on 08/01. LM 69-70 (70 if we're considering sGPA and not cGPA).
 
Does GW accept letter of interests? If so, do we send this to the med admissions email? (sorry if this has already been asked, this is a pretty long thread lol)

Based on previous years threads, it looks like GW is pretty open to letters of interest/intent being uploaded to the portal. That being said, I don't think that a letter of interest would be particularly helpful right now since it's so early in the cycle. If you could combine your letter with an update in the coming months, that might be more impactful.

for those of you that interviewed, did you guys send thank you letters to your interviewers?
 
I just got an email about an informational panel in October. Is this just for interviewees, or did everyone get a variation of it? Really looking forward to learning more about the program!

I deduced that this is for just interviewees and serves as a replacement for the virtual presentation that most other medical schools have for interviewees. What date was yours? I got one for the 5th

Also the 5th! I wonder how large the attendance will be -- people who interviewed before Oct 5, or all scheduled interviewees?

No clue but it's possible that they split us up into different groups and/or have another event in the future.
 
I’ve already interviewed but never received an email regarding an informational panel. Did this happen to anyone else?

interesting! I'm still under review and was wondering that since they did not give me a II or a hold if that meant that was a rejection

Do you mind me asking when you completed your secondary? I did mine on 08/24 and got ‘on hold’ status today. It could be because there are multiple reviewer and while one reviewer move faster, another might be slower (your application might be getting reviewed by the slower one). Heard this somewhere and it makes sense - hopefully this will give you some hope. Stay strong and don’t lose hope my fellow colleague.

I was under review here for like 3-4 months last cycle before getting an II and eventual WL. This school has a reputation for interviewing a lot of people, so just wait it out and you’ll probably get one eventually

I appreciate you! I wish you the best as well. it might be that I am still waiting to be reviewed. I was complete 8/17. I probably am not doing myself any favors by trying to guess what anything means. my stats are not high so I'm not too sure I would be in the first round of II.. guess we'll see what happens
 
Stalking this thread, it looks like this week people in the 8/20s have been receiving IIs and according to the last few pages, they've come on Thursdays and Fridays.
Good luck to all the homies today. Thoughts and prayers. I'll distract myself by finishing my last 3 secondaries.
 
On hold as of yesterday, OOS complete 8/19.
Anyone know how likely it is to get an II after being on hold? I've heard at Drexel its basically an R, idk about GW though. This waiting game is hell

EDIT: just reading the thread and seeing a lot of ppl on hold get interviews here, wishing everyone the best - there's hope!
