Do you guys think that there could be more VITA invites this Thursday?[emoji2371]
Complete in July and radio silence since (lowkey still hoping)

As long as there’s no rejection email in your inbox, I say there is still hope

[cosmicbamboo]

Hi! Anyone know when interviewees will specifically hear back? The website says Jan-March on three release dates, but has anyone heard of any specific date(s)?

[MDAesthetic]

October VITA gang reporting in — just invited to interview for the PSTP and MD program 🙂

ayy congrats!! manifesting a II since it seems to work

Alright manifesting an II to all those who dodged the R wave...

[pears&peaches]

What is the average weeks before a post 2ndary decision? A little neurotic over here.... for me it's only been 8.

Hahaha for me it’s been 5 months since mid July when I was complete! And still radio silence. I don’t think there’s a rule with non-rolling schools like Stanford. But I don’t know if I should lose hope. No VITA yet...

I read a recent blog of an applicant who (a) had submitted everything a few years ago in July (the year before starting medical school), (b) received a II at the end of the following February, (c) had an interview on the last possible day in late March, and (d) was admitted a few weeks later 🙂

That's what "non-rolling" admissions looks like 🙂

II for PSTP and MD!! 10/29 VITA. Would say VITA = II bc VITA was probably one of my worst interviews ever... keep the hopes up!!!

Congrats on the II!! However, I wouldn't say VITA= II because some people from the 10/29 crowd did receive rejections.

[saisonmargerrite]

did anyone else get a summa conference email? prob doesn't mean much haha.

I'm in the exact same boat as you! II for PSTP and MD today, 10/29 VITA (which went terribly wrong lmao).

I also received that email. idk what it means but I was really hoping it was an II.

I received one about an hour ago.

I also received that email. idk what it means but I was really hoping it was an II.

I was too! It looks like a great networking opportunity though. Some of the featured sessions are focused on the medical school application process so very interesting we received this email....regardless of how my status turns out with them, it was nice to receive it!

I got it too, and was really hoping it was an interview invite 😭 I don’t think it means anything though

The email seems to be geared toward URM applicants, so depending on how you identified on AMCAS, you might not get the email

Ah gotchu! That would make more sense, checked spam and it wasn't there so this prob why

not true, I'm ORM.

[diazoniumsalt]

Did anyone who’s interviewed get it or is the email just for prospective interviewees?

[jb2000]

I interviewed and didn’t get it (ORM). But I also didn’t indicate that I wanted to get contacted by the SUMMA organizations on the pre interview social form.

[mindstirfry]

does anyone know what the post-ii acceptance chance is like? incredibly nervous

[mvsrocks]

does anyone know what the post-ii acceptance chance is like? incredibly nervous

~35%

[simplenihilist]

~35%

Might be lower this year? Over 500 interviews for 90 seats...

It should still be ~35%. Schools accept more people than there are seats because not everyone accepts their offer (even if it is StANfOrd)

[giveitheremalfoy353]

Did anyone who received a vita invite on 12/3 get an II yet?

[saisonmargerrite]

imo acceptance rate will be lower since cycle is more competitive, less people get II's, less people that have other offers that would decrease matriculation rate.

One person who posted said they got one the day about a week after (a day or so after doing the VITA). I’m 12/3 and still waiting. Not expecting any news till after Jan 4th now probs.

[k1808h]

Does anyone know if Stanford accepts update or interest letters after the interview? (if the 2 week deadline has already passed)
I understand they're good to send if we're waitlisted, but I've heard of people sending them post II, before the final decision.

I think they accept them, but no guarantee they’ll get added to your file in time for your decision if you’ve passed the 2 week deadline.

Merry Christmas everybody! Idk why I’m checking this thread at this time lol (not sure what kind of update I was expecting) but I hope you all have a goood holiday break with friends and/or family 🙂

Love,
A 10/29 VITA fella

did anyone else get a doordash gift card from admissions post interview? i noticed only one other person on this thread mentioned it, so I'm not sure if it was random or correlated to the school's interest in candidates?

I received one, I'm assuming everybody gets one as a thank you for spending the time to interview with us, but people can correct me if that is wrong
