Admissions told me they sent it a month ago, but I have no record of receiving it. I have a brand new email account for medical school applications and have never deleted an email. I looked in Spam and Trash just in case.

Yupp, had the same exact problem! Checked Spam and Trash, but the email was nowhere to be found even though they sent it weeks ago. Thought it was only me, but seems like it's happened to a few people. Was using a college associated email which didn't have a problem with any of the other MedAdmit portal invites except this one.

Aw what :/ I was hoping that VITA means you’ll get an II. I’m surely not gonna get an II with my lame VITA performance LOL

Well, they ”resent” it at about 6pm, the day they said it was due!
I asked for an extension. ‍
 
Hi all,

I received a VITA Invite on Thursday, 10/29, and completed the VITA on Tuesday, 11/3 (had to complete it for another school by friday), and I received the real II on Wednesday, 11/4 evening.

Not sure if it was pre-screened given the turn around time, but just wanted to mention it.

I felt pretty neutral about the whole experience, to be honest. I was able to come up with answers to each question without too much trouble, but I feel like it was hard to gauge how well I did because there’s no human feedback. Just did the best I could, I guess!

I haven't submitted mine yet (working full-time currently) so do you think I won't get the official II until I send my VITA in?

Lmao I don't remember much from VITA b/c my answers were all over the place.

How long after your VITA invite did you receive an official II? And when did you receive your VITA? Thanks!
 
So...for the people who got a VITA notif without an II...is it just a bug on their end that has prevented them from sending us IIs? It seems really weird that its taken 10 days now to get a response.

iono what feels worse though, vita being a screen or vita taking up a large weight of the post II decision 🙁🙁
 
Just confirming: Stanford DOESN'T accept pre-II letter updates? I just got a paper accepted for publication (first author) and was wondering if I could email this to them.

Ya I think so their admissions website says u can only update after ii
 
For those that had their interview already, what is the 20 min interview like? Was it just conversational? And was there enough time to actually present yourself? Thanks!
 
For those with a PSTP interview, is there also an MD interview or is it just the 20 minute and 45 minute interviews? And which interview is with Dr. Utz (long or short)?
 
II just now!! Beyond excited because I'm from the area and this is a huge reach. I was complete mid July, and did VITA about a month ago for another school so I didn't receive any other notification other than the interview invite email.

Hi everyone! The Stanford website doesn't specify when VITA must be complete. I see that 2 weeks is recommended, I might need to go over that (likely 15/16 days). Will that ruin my chances?

In the II email, they say you must complete VITA within two weeks. I would really try to aim for no more than 2 weeks, but reach out to admissions if you're concerned?

Wait so you didn't get a VITA invite email?

I also did VITA for another school months ago, and I got a VITA email for Stanord on 10/29. No II though

edit: also congratulations!!!!
