Interviewed early December, waiting on response 🥲 I believe someone last year said few got accepted late December then majority heard post ii decisions in March.
The school sent out secondaries pretty late this cycle so im hoping they will still be interviewing for some time... but who knows
Yo I interviewed in Oct (first day of interviews I think), and I haven’t heard anything back 🙃🤡 RIPAnyone interviewed mid NOV and still waiting to hear back??
Unprecedented but not unexpected these days.I am thinking maybe they will release decisions all on one day.
yeah i didnt get my secondary until about mid-DecemberThe school sent out secondaries pretty late this cycle so im hoping they will still be interviewing for some time... but who knows
have you tried calling?Yo I interviewed in Oct (first day of interviews I think), and I haven’t heard anything back 🙃🤡 RIP
not sure about this.12/5 secondary sent... 12/1 secondary received. Low stats. Do they screen? Or did I just give my money away?
They apparently do screen...like all UC schools. Somebody posted up a document that showed that they only accept about half of applications for secondaries.12/5 secondary sent... 12/1 secondary received. Low stats. Do they screen? Or did I just give my money away?
I don’t know recently, but some were rejected pre-II in November.Anyone receive rejection pre/post secondary?
I haven’t... I figured there’s a bunch of others in a similar boat waiting so I just have to wait like the rest 🤷🏽♂️have you tried calling?
For those of us who don't get an II, we won't get the R till around March.
I thought they were already giving Rs?
That doesn’t make sense because UCR doesn’t strike out applications for that:I think that person received some type of special R lol like not meeting the prerequisite or something cuz he/she was the only one that got it.
plus SDN posts are probably a small representation of the whole app pool. who knows how many other people got rejected alreadyThat doesn’t make sense because UCR doesn’t strike out applications for that:
All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited US institution prior to matriculation. Students must complete all premedical requirements before beginning the first year of medical study, although these requirements need not be completed at the time application for admission is filed.
Program Prerequisites
Eligibility Requirements Applicants to the UCR School of Medicine must be a US citizen, permanent resident, DACA recipient, or eligible to enroll under California AB540, prior to beginning the first year of medical study. Information for undocumented applicants can be found here.somsa.ucr.edu
They seem to imply that you can apply without having completed all the pre-reqs. You just have to complete them all by maturation if you are chosen for the upcoming class.
...so maybe that rejection was either over something else or just a bog-standard rejection.
I think there was also somebody else that was struck out pre-II as well - not just one person.
congrats!!Received an acceptance call today! Interviewed 12/5.
Good luck to everyone!

Curious as well. Does anyone know if they are still sending out IIs in general?Has anyone received an II this January?
Is everyone who has been accepted so far a Haider applicant it seems like?
I am a Haider applicant, but I am not sure if it is solely us. I always thought that they do the Haiders relatively last because they have those spots guaranteed, but maybe not.Is everyone who has been accepted so far a Haider applicant it seems like?

I bet you in February we’re going to get an email that says our applications are on “hold.” I read that’s what happened during last year’s cycleIf they charge us 100+ on secondaries i think we deserve some sort of update or an update email like Rochester
And I assume hold for UCR has 0 movement fmI bet you in February we’re going to get an email that says our applications are on “hold.” I read that’s what happened during last year’s cycle
I would highly doubt that they are done, I imagine that they just started. My friend who is a current student interviewed in February many years ago as a Haider applicant.Do you know if Haider applicants are still interviewing or are they done? I was complete around late september but havent heard anything yet.
