for accepted people, how long did it take to get the email with next step information after paying your deposit?

A today at 12:30! OOS student, interviewed 11/2, waitlisted 11/30 (top tier). My first acceptance, and on my birthday! Does anyone know if EVMS also sends a letter in the mail, or is it just the email?
did u send an update letter?

When can we expect more watilist movement here? thanks all and congratulations to those who have gotten off.

More than likely every two weeks or so we’ll see waves of acceptances off waitlist. The deposit is due two weeks after acceptance email is received so they’ll probably tie up loose ends with folks who don’t submit on time, then send acceptances to the next batch from the waitlist.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks!

Can anyone share what the interview process involves? I am unsure on if it is multiple interviews/a panel interview or both.

Multiple people have detailed their experience but in summary 2-3 panel interview with standard questions scheduled for 30 mins.

I sent an update back in September about something significant. I was going to send a letter of intent sometime in the spring because I wasn't expecting waitlist movement until then so I didn't send one in after the interview.

did they give u a deadline for the tuition deposit? Thx

yeah it was two weeks. i paid it the day i got accepted and they said i’d get an email a few days later with the next steps, but i haven’t yet (i’m guessing because the holidays). but it’s $100 and refundable until the commit to enroll or plan to enroll or something

just to confirm, that would be the first week of January right?

Has anyone who interviewed late Nov/early Dec heard back? At my interview they said to expect 3-4 weeks for a decision but then said it might also be 6 weeks. This wait is killing me!

11/30 and haven't heard anything. The holiday season probably added to the delay. I wouldn't expect to hear anything until schools are back in session in the new year.

It’s the holidays so I think they are generally closed

What were the vibes of yalls interview panelist? (faculty and student, etc)

mine were all friendly but did not show a ton of reaction to my answers. if i’m remembering right the questions seemed to be pretty standardized too. personally i thought it was hard for me to read how the interview went afterwards just off of the “vibe” of my interviewers

My interviewers were all so kind and laid back. I could tell they were actually interested in what I was saying and it was overall just an amazing experience! It was the most positive and conversational interview I've ever had tbh. I couldn't have asked for better interviewers.

Yeah, I second what everyone else is saying. It felt like the most "authentic" interview of the 3 I've done (or of any interview I've done, frankly, and I've worked in several different fields). No BS and no trying to "sell" an idealized version of the school. With interviews in general there's a lot of acting taking place (naturally, I suppose, since you're meeting new people who could ultimately decide your fate!) but at this school I was 100% able to be myself within 60 seconds of meeting everyone, and I didn't feel pressured to give the "right" answer or the answer they wanted to hear. I really appreciated how forthright they were, and it really resonated with me in a positive way.
