on a similar note, did anyone get any other news from CMS today? i thought decisions would be going out...
 
Does anybody know if the class is full? I remember March 15 is the date when they had to have sent a class full of offers or something?
 
May 15th is the date by which they have to have sent out a full-class worth of invites - and as far as I know (as of about 3 weeks ago at least) they still had spots open so I don't think that if you're going on an interview in the upcoming weeks you'll just be interviewing for a waitlist spot 🙂
 
cool. i've interviewed already, but am on hold. haven't received anything yet, so just curious.

has anyone been accepted?
 
If you are accepted and use gmail, check your spam folder for a financial aid email.
 
has anyone been able to contact the admissions office by phone? i tried friday and this morning, and i keep getting the voice mail. should i just stick with e-mail?
 
I would think the next wave of acceptances will be out soon.. Last month the decisions were made on the 9th (if you go by the date on the letter) and were emailed out on the 18th which was a Wednesday. The people that were put on hold received notice closer to the 9th.
 
They reply by email very fast.

So....any acceptances?
 
If we were placed on hold last month, do they send us another email if our status doesn't change? In other words, do they inform applicants of their hold status each month?
 
i got another hold message today...

has anyone here been accepted off the hold list yet?
 
I didn't get anything this month, but I'm assuming I'm still on hold because I've been on hold for the past 8 years already.

Yes, I think they do but I don't know if they do it all at once (maybe some ppl get holds later than others?)
 
Hey! I just got in too! I guess I didn't have to wait so long after all.

abraham, I was on the hold list since October, so yes, ppl do get off.

Congrats Kalia, and great job getting off hold! You've been so persistent and strong in your interest, CMS had to take notice of it sooner or later.

Congratulations to you too, Raryn. We don't know each other, but I've been incredibly surprised that's it taken a med school so long to accept someone with your qualifications. Thankfully that's history now.

Hey everyone,

Just got the email! Woohoo! I didn't know if I had that good of a shot (If there were many slots open) because I just interviewed February 13th. Good luck :luck: to everyone else and for those who are on hold I totally understand. I interviewed at PSU in December and I am still on a post-interview hold.
 
wow. i got accepted today, too. that is such a huge weight off my shoulders...its unbelievable. also, congrats to raryn, kalia, and mr goodbytes. ill be seeing you in the fall.

It looks like they're picking off the big stat, no acceptance people... that'll help the numbers. My interview is coming up, too.
 
Hey everyone! Got my acceptance email today at 3:15 PM. Congrats too all those accepted and good luck to those still waiting.
 
Also accepted today. I don't know if I will attend... have some big decisions to make. Congrats everyone!

Still on hold since Oct...geez what a spring break
 
For those that were accepted on March 16, did they send a confirmation email after you sent in the deposit and letter of intent?
 
Oh...when did you send it? And when did they reply with the confirmation email?

i sent mine two days ago (Monday the 23rd) and received a confirmation e-mail from them yesterday. of course, i am in chicago right now.
 
Check your spam filter just in case. My Fin Aid from them went to spam in my gmail account.
 
Anyone interviewing on Monday 3/30 heading to O'Hare that night want to split a taxi or something?
My flight departs at 8pm

i just called the housing office and was told that there are still spots remaining with the on-campus apartments. i then asked if they are now running on a "first come, first serve" basis, and the woman told me yes. so, if you are considering RFU and want to live on-campus, apply ASAP - i did it right before posting this. 😀
