No love yet from CMS/RF. Secondary sent Aug. 25th, complete Sept. 30th, entered screening Oct. 6th. But from the looks of the thread they take their time so there's still hope 🙂 Good luck to you guys interviewing and congrats to those who have been accepted here!

For those that had their secondary completed around the same time as me (10/6), I just received the primary screening email. So it will probably take us another month before we are pooled based on the posts I have been seeing.

I entered primary screening on 10/6 and still havent been pooled... it should take around a month, but from what ive seen on this thread, it's taken longer for some people... so i really dont know

Hmm..
I passed the primary screening and was pooled on 10/25, but not a single word since then.
For those of you invited to interview, how long after the pooling did you guys get the invitation? Also, is it common for applicants who have been pooled to be rejected without a chance to interview?

Thanks in advance.

Same situation, would love an answer to this if someone knows 🙂

I entered primary screening in the middle of September, was pooled at the beginning of October, and received an interview invite at the end of October. I really enjoyed my interview day. This is a great school!!!

hey guys~ this is probably going to sound like a super dumb question, but what does the primary screening email mean??

This is the email you get upon entering primary screening:

"Your application has entered the screening process. This portion of the application process is the most time consuming, as the screeners have to review each piece of the applicant’s file. It is not uncommon for this process to take 4-6 weeks or longer to complete. Once your application has completed this step, you will receive a confirmation email."

That means that once you pass this primary screening, you're going to get another email saying that you have been "small pooled". From then on, you will receive another email if you get chosen from this small pool for an interview

submitted secondary september 9th

just got a "your application has entered primary screening" notification today.

WOW.

They must be doing them in batches. I submitted on 10/16 and got the same email this morning.

I was on the same time line, small pooled Oct 6, but I have not yet gotten an interview invite... I haven't gotten a rejection email either. Do they pass people up and come back to them later, or should I call in case I missed an email?

I pooled 10/3 and haven't heard anything yet. I think they're just being more choosy on who to invite to interview.

I was small pooled 8/12/2011 and haven't been rejected either, nor offered an interview. Anxious to see how things turn out. 27-29 MCAT 3.4-3.6 GPA

Pooled around the same time and no interview here either. With how many people that are being added to the pool, I just hope that the ones pooled earlier won't be passed over

got the email yesterday that my app is being screened, how long has it been taking most ppl to hear back?

entered 10/6 and haven't heard anything. some other people have been pooled that entered screening on 10/6.

Sitting in the pool as well. Being in the pool does not mean you're getting interviewed. You could be in the pool all the way until the spring before you get a decision. You could be pooled in September and get an invite in March. I'm just wearing floatees so I don't have to tread in the pool for months. good luck!

So I haven't gotten around to paying the $105 and getting the secondary, and am debating if it's still worth it to complete it.

I'm out of state and my stats are 3.66 overall and 29 mcat.

Any thoughts?

At this point, if you think the $$ is worth it, there shouldn't be anything stopping you from trying. You seem to have pretty decent stats, and I'm sure your experiences are pretty stellar as well, so why not give it a shot and apply?

😱 I submitted on 10/3 and I haven't received the screening email yet. 🙁

I called the admissions office today because I submitted my secondary in July and hadn't heard anything back yet (no complete email, no small pool). The lady on the phone told me I was small-pooled back in August, I just never received the email...so yeah, there's no reason to freak out. Patience is the hardest part of this process

EDIT: Nevermind, found the email. idk how I overlooked it.
Anyway, there's still no reason to freak out

I called them after about a month and a half , and the super nice lady informed me that I was already in the screening process, as of 2 weeks before my call. I never ended up receiving either the screening e-mail, or the pooled e-mail before my interview invite..it was the strangest thing ever.

Conclusion: there's no harm in calling to check in with them about the status of your app 🙂

Thank Raqam4 & KeepOnSwimmin! I'll call them. I thought they did not welcome phone calls.

Nope, they were entirely welcoming--I think they have to be since they don't have a status update page. And the lady I talked to was super nice 🙂

That's nice. Many schools that don't have a status update site seem rather irritated by phone calls.

I feel like calling the Admissions office just to check in on when they might be sending out decisions...getting antsy!

small pooled! submitted 9/21; screening 10/6.

it just feels so good to finally hear something back from any school, rejection or otherwise!

Seriously... anxious to hear back here as well.

I bit the bullet on this one, and just got off the phone with a really nice lady in the Admissions office. She mentioned that the adcom is meeting shortly, and the next round of peeps should expect to hear back in a few weeks!

Hmmm....I wonder when they'll send out more interview invites.

Cool, thanks for the heads up.

I had a similar experience. I sent an e-mail asking for a status update after not hearing anything for 8 weeks. Got an e-mail back saying I should have received an e-mail earlier that week, not that they were resending the e-mail, not telling me what the e-mail was about, just that there should have been an e-mail. Called the next day and was told they would resend the e-mail. Waited a week and still nothing. Called again and finally received the e-mail the next day.

Rejected before small pool.🙁

Whats a few weeks? At the interview they said the turnaround was 4-6 weeks. its been 4 now and I'm dying not knowing my fate at CMS

Secondary complete on 8/01
Entered screening on 8/02
Small Pooled 8/26

I haven't heard back yet. I called about a month ago and they just read me my small pooled email word-for-word 😕

I interviewed in September but was placed on hold 🙁. Do they consider people on hold each time they meet? Does anyone know when the next offer date is?

It seems that you might want to wait two more weeks before dying.

Well its been 5 weeks as of today, I just want to know when the next committee meeting is so that I can know when to expect something, but they said that they dont release that information.

Anybody here interviewing on the 30th of November ? If you wanna share a cab from the airport, PM me. I'm gonna be staying at the Ramada Inn which is one of the hotels listed in the PDF file that they sent along with the interview invitation.

Oh and I am gonna be in Chicago on the morning of the 29th.

Enter primary screening oct 6

I too was placed on hold after interviewing in September, which I thought was kind of odd. During my interview, the lady who seemed to be in charge of the interviewing process informed us that if there was a discrepancy between our two interviews, we would be asked to come in for a third interview. We weren't sure if she meant later that day (we were all worrying about getting pulled out of the tour to be told we had to do another interview) or just if they couldn't make a decision later.

That being said, I don't understand how they can just leave it as a, "I dunno...put her back in the pile" type thing. I'm getting pretty anxious myself because I'm not sure whether to contact them and offer myself for the third interview (I'm pretty sure that's my issue, my first went stellar...the second was torture and an oddity) or some sort of update without making people angry and just sending me a rejection as a response.

we should be hearing soon
