CONGRATS!!!! What a blessing to receive right before thanksgiving and the holidays!

I’m looking forward to being classmates as OOS and URM as well, if accepted. Re-applicant and going for interview round 2. I received interview invite 1 week ago and noticed all check marks green for things they asked me to send back.

Do you mind elaborating more on the different between ‘Interview Date’ vs. ‘App Complete and Ready for Review Email’

Your application is not truly considered "complete" until your interviewers have sent their interview notes/scores to the admissions office to be added to your file.

The "Application complete and ready for review" email is just telling you that the school has added their interviewers notes to your file. Once those are included, the entire package goes in front of the admissions committe who vote on acceptance, WL, or rejection.

Has anyone seen the match list? Couldn’t find it online

Congrats on getting an interview invite!! I think having everything cleared on the portal beforehand definitely helps. After your interview, your file is held on to until it is ready to go before ADCOM. This is when you receive the email ‘App Complete and Ready for Review'. My understanding is that all the interviewers meet and present files to ADCOM at the end of the month (ie, 10/30) to discuss any number of applicants from the months prior (Oct/Sept). ADCOM then has about 2 weeks to make decisions and acceptances are mailed out on the 15th of the following month (11/15), and portals are updated within a week of that date (11/21). So generally, from looking at past years' threads acceptances are sent out within 2-3 months of your interview date. If not, post-interview WL and R go out sometime between March-June. But I'm wishing you all the best and good luck with your interview!!!!

So I have been having a hard time finding Indiana University SCHOOL OF MEDICINE apparel online. Does anyone know where I get it, or is it only for students already enrolled?? I just want a t-shirt or sweatshirt

Couple of items here, not too much though. I imagine you'll maybe get something at orientation or second look.

Have any other IS applicants gotten an email that says "upon review of your IUPUI Graduate School application, your resident status has been classified as non-resident" with info about an appeal process????

I'm completely baffled??? I've lived in Indiana my entire life??????

Did you go out of state for school? Sometimes residency status changes after X amount of years. Unsure how it is for IU.

There is usually a sale in the fall with one of the campus orgs that sells the good stuff. Not sure if you can buy year round.

Nope. I lived at home and commuted to an IN state school, I've been out of school for over a year, and I've lived at home with my parents in the same house for 19 years. The only thing I can think of is that I work for ScribeAmerica, which is based in FL, but I'm contracted to work in a IN hospital. This is all very confusing.

no idea, email them.

Anyone else with an A find it really frustrating that you can't really imagine/dream about/plan your life in med school because the campus placement is such a giant wildcard? Even though I know what med school I am gonna go to (with like 99% certainty anyways) I feel like I am completely blind as to where I will be in six months.

It's in poor taste to gripe considering I was lucky enough to get an acceptance, but it is a weird feeling!

EDIT: While I am talking about it, does anyone know what percent of people typically get into their first choice campus, one of their top 3 etc.?

I would imagine this depends greatly on what your campus rankings are and when you get them submitted. Indy and Bloomington are more difficult to get because they are highly favored. Other campuses, such as Terre Haute and Gary, are typically less popular.

Hey guys, did anyone have any trouble with the mailing back the acceptance form within 14 days? I accepted the offer online but it says they need to receive it in writing within 14 days. I got the packet late and it was also the long holiday weekend so it set back the time I could've sent it. Has anybody had problems or do you think it'll be fine as long as I sent it and have already accepted on the portal?

I’d just call in the morning. They’re usually super cool about stuff like this. Also if I’m not mistaken it’s 14 business days, so you may have longer than you thought, I.e. closer to three weeks rather than two.

THANK YOU so much for giving me some peace of mind!!!

How long is it normal to wait before scheduling an interview? I received an II exactly 6 weeks ago. I have already emailed them once about my LORs and prerequisites being checked off about 3 weeks ago.

Does anyone know exactly when in the spring we find out our campus placements?

From Campus Placement | MD Program | IU School of Medicine

Campus Placement
Campus assignments are determined by computerized lottery based on applicant rankings and campus capacity. Assignment notifications begin in late April. Assignments are not guaranteed until a confirmation email has been sent from the MD Admissions Office.

Students may spend all four years at their assigned campus or transfer to Indianapolis for clinical clerkships and electives in the third and fourth years of training. All students assigned to Indianapolis are required to take clerkships outside of Indianapolis.

I totally missed that the written response was required. Eventually Patrick sent me an email telling me to please get it done, which I assume happened well after 14 days had passed. As far as I can tell I am not "in trouble" by any means. If I could get away with that then surely you have nothing to worry about lol.

Can any IU alum who has been accepted comment on whether or not your application status (in One.iu) changed from "missing materials"?

Thank you for this, it really eased my nerves even more. I did call the admissions office to let them know, and they did say it was fine and that it won't be held against us. So * big sigh of relief*

Thank you so much for the thorough explanation! I appreciate it!

Do you (or anyone) recall what day of the week Interviews are held? If I remember correctly they're either always on Wednesdays or Thursday...Appreciate the input!

I have checks for everything but prereqs, MCAT, and letters. 4 weeks now without an interview date...am I supposed to follow up with them or is it best to wait?

How are my SCP people doing? When I called last month they said we would hear by Dec 1st, but at this point I'm guessing it will be after the 15th...
They actually told you that? Wow. I was just expecting it to be the 15th with everyone else...

EDIT: although, if they sent out letters on the 1st, it would be reasonable that no one has received them yet. My USPS informed delivery does show "a piece of mail we do not have an image for is included in today's mail", and the letter is supposedly a large envelope, so..........could it be

I hope so! Crossing my fingers for you!

Oh. My.

good luck- keep us posted!

Does anyone who has received an II know if we have to physically mail the legal disclosure form and not just upload a copy?

For those that are IU students, is there a way to see the status of your application on one.iu?

There is a tile in one.iu.edu called Application Status which will show your Medicine MD application. I compulsively checked it for a while but it doesn't really give any extra information. If I remember correctly, the application status through one.iu said my application was missing materials even after I had received the email that my application was complete and ready to go before the committee. Now that I am accepted it just says:

Congratulations, you have been admitted. You will receive a formal letter of admission in the mail, with information on your next steps.

I think the best information you're going to receive is direct communication from the admissions office.

Received the "application is now complete and ready to go before the admissions committee" email today. Interviewed on November 6th.

Does anyone know if they are only doing SCP acceptances in December or if RD people will hear too?

I got an application receipt email about a month or 2 ago and nothing since. I can't login to the portal either. Is this normal?

Have people that interviewed 10/9 heard back yet? If I haven't, same to assume R or WL?
