The Maine Track interview day was great! What a wonderful group of applicants! The AdComs made you feel really comfortable, as did the current students. All the interviews were very conversational, definitely no grilling vibes. And the orientation talk at the start of the morning was full of good information about the program! Fingers crossed for an A, I would absolutely LOVE to go here!

Do you have any idea of the post ii acceptance rate for Maine Track?

Good luck to you!!

Is there any benefit to interviewing earlier here? If there is an option to interview in November or January does it really matter which date I chose?

is tufts known to have strong research opportunties?
I’m asking bc I (maybe falsely) think that strong research = better opportunities at competitive specialities.. and I don’t know how strong they are but I do know their match list is incredible 😱

Based on the research presentation on interview day, I think not as many Tufts students do research as compared to some other schools (40% iirc?), but there's still plenty of funding/opportunities. There's also a special research track that about 15% of students do where you take a year off to focus on research, so I imagine people who are aiming for really competitive specialties would tend to choose that

Did they give any stats on how many they accept per cycle for Maine Track?
I know they aim to accept 40 students per cycle. I can't remember how many they said applied but I know their presentation talked about how many Mainers are applying each year. I want to say it was around 180? I think the deets were blurred by my nerves lol

are the recent interview invites regular? or maine track?

Have any accepted students gotten a link or anything to submit a deposit? I was pretty sure there was supposed to be something emailed to us after we accepted the offer on the portal but I haven't seen anything in my inbox or spam
