Does anyone else feel like they’re a lock to get in one day then the next feel like there is no chance? I’m having such bad anxiety and mood swings about this

Same here! Sometimes I think I didn’t screw up badly so of course they liked me. Then I remember that somehow they have to reject over half of interviewees and start obsessing on that one thing I said that was weird... but one way or another I got a cookie out of this so a total loss is not possible

lol "that one thing I said that was weird" haha that really hits home

I kinda thought about sending a LOI as well, but is it too late at this point? I imagine they have decisions pretty much locked in and are tying up the final details.
What would it hurt to try? LOIs are free.

wouldnt be shocked if they were playing it more conservative with the reduced class size and just pull more off the waitlist
Honestly... I agree... I hope it’s not the case, but it may be... I was on the waitlist alllllll summer. I was still on the waitlist when I started my app for this cycle... It was miserable. I really hope I don’t have to go through it again.

Wishing you the best! You’re the person I want to get in the most, after myself of course

But only 3 acceptances when there were way more reported last year would be strange
A couple days ago, the Vanderbilt thread had a lot fewer reported acceptances than normal, but that was still their final batch of acceptances. SDNers may just be a bit quieter than in years past when it comes to posting A’s

I disagree. There was a clear burst in acceptances when they started rolling them out. I’m hoping similar case for WUSTL but maybe this it. I think we still have a couple of days until giving up hope 🙂

NM. I see one acceptance on Friday of last week and one today so far. that makes 2 vs. 10 last year. Does that sound right?

Last year the W/L was sent on 3/15 and I was told during the interview it we would all know something by 3/15.

1 last week, 2 today...
I see the 2 now. Well that is 30% of last year's final group, so thinking optimistically, 7 more will get acceptances by Wednesday of this week. I wonder why they dribble them out daily at the end?

Well I feel less optimistic about getting in now

I'm pretty much expecting a WL at this point. I'll keep my phone on vibrate until Friday of this week or so, though. Just in case. On the plus side, people got off of the waitlist on April 30 last year!

I'm sticking with last year's number. 10 - 4 = 6 left to go.

If we want to be more conservative 10 * 0.75 = 7.5 to fill rounded down to 7 - 4 = 3 left to go
