They list supervisors, mentors, academic advisors, research assistants, etc. on their supplemental info form, so a PI would almost certainly work. I've heard of people getting accepted with subpar shadowing, but I wouldn't bank on it if possible.
Thanks! I’ll have to think about whether I want to send them my primary then. The two physicians I have shadowed add up to 80+ hours. I know it’s considered “sufficient” for most places but wasn’t sure about here.
