This school has been completely silent since August for me. Safe to assume my R will be coming in March since that's when they start to send them out last cycle.

That's how it was for me in the beginning. I had to call two weeks before the secondary deadline because I never received one at that time. Almost two months later I got an interview and then a few days after my application was on hold

Ooh so you interviewed already. I completed my secondary already but just complete silent lol. My stats are complete trash though so it wasn't a surprised.

SDA? IS/OOS? It's been silence for me since turning in my secondary.

Yeap. My stats from college are not that great either but I have an MPH from the school and I'm SDA

I'm none SDA but grow up and go to school in the IE so I don't expect to hear back from them other than that R lol

To those who interviewed: when did you guys reach out to your "Homestay" hosts (the people who you can reach out to before you interview to learn more about the school)? I plan to interview in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I should reach out to one of them about now. Is it too early? Would a week out be better?

I never did this (I got accepted). I didn't think to contact Homestay hosts (I think I recall reading about it somewhere, but that's all). I still wouldn't have reached out even if I had been explicitly told that they were available. I don't think it's necessary, but if you think it will help you then go for it. I would think it wouldn't matter when you reached out if you were to do so.
 
Does anyone think that we might hear something today? Past years show 2nd-3rd Thursday for acceptances.
 
I also think today might be an acceptance day. Thought I’d hear more on this page if there were going to be acceptances tho..

I am wondering the same thing. I interviewed on December 11th (I was supposed to interview at 10:00 and 11:00 AM but my interviewers no-showed and the admissions office had to find new interviewers for 3:00 and 4:00 PM) and my “status” never changed. The last communication was from 3 weeks before my interview confirming the date, so I emailed them just asking to confirm everything was processed correctly. They haven’t gotten back to me yet. I emailed them last Thursday.

Yea regardless of the like no-show, if you feel you did good with the new interviewers don't worry about it. Loma Linda seems to truly follow a 2nd Thursday of every month pattern for the last 4 years. There were decisions released on 12/10 and then 1/14, but don't be discouraged and honestly expect to maybe hear from them February. Also i interviewed 11/24 and thought i would hear 12/10. Also with Christmas, they were off for break and admissions has been busy. Its tough to wait but it will all pay off.

Additionally, your status will not change until you get called or there is an update on your application.

Good to know and thanks for the reassurance. I just wanted to make sure something wasn’t lost in translation after the events of my interview day and that my application was completed since I haven’t had any communication with admissions since then.

what is your status saying currently on Loma Linda's portal?
 
For those who already interviewed, do you have any general advice for the interview?
 
Hi guys! For the people who have been accepted, have there been any emails with information aside from the email saying that our applications were updated? My acceptance email went to my junk mail, so I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss another email related to reserving a spot in the class, putting money down, etc. 🙂 Thank you!

I have only gotten the email with updated application. I went ahead and accepted my offer in the portal (It's non binding) and they sent me an email to set up my LLU email! Other than that there hasn't been anything else communicated to me!

It currently says “interview invitation” with a check mark and says the date I was invited for the interview. It just confused me because I assumed there would be a new status update after completing the interview.

Was it from the same admissions email that they sent you something with the LLU email? And how long afterwards before they sent you it?

They send the email regarding your LLMed student email once you go through the sections under "Admissions Decision" on the left tab in the applicant portal. Information about the student email was sent to me almost instantly as soon as I confirmed my admission. Hope this helps!
