Have you gotten an email or anything yet?+1 š
Not yet, but my portal changed last night. I checked around 4pm and it still said awaiting decision. Checked today and it said decided. I was so hoping for in state tuition šHave you gotten an email or anything yet?
Did you interview? My portal changed to 'Decided' this morning but have not heard anything...
Nope.Did you interview?
Acceptance letter says July 28th and I saw a calendar that has orientation beginning on the same day.Also...does anyone know the date that school starts? I can't find any formal calendar's released. I can guess based on last year's, but figured there would be something concrete by this point.
+1Just checked the portal, pre-II R
What?! I feel like you would be the ideal candidate. I'm sorry to hear this! I'm sure you will end up at a different school that is good!Pre-II R. IS, ORM, 518, 3.8+, UNC undergrad.
Interest in primary care, lots of patient contact and focus on underserved. Headscratcher.
Sorry to hear it. My stats arenāt quite as good as yours but Iām also pretty surprised I didnāt even get a II since Iāve gotten them from low yield OOS schools. Just goes to show the whole process is unpredictable sometimes I guess.Pre-II R. IS, ORM, 518, 3.8+, UNC undergrad.

Thank you! I am fortunate enough to have another acceptance this cycle. But i think it definitely goes to show how unpredictable everything is.What?! I feel like you would be the ideal candidate. I'm sorry to hear this! I'm sure you will end up at a different school that is good!
Indeed a head scratcher. So sorry. Did you apply at Brody?Pre-II R. IS, ORM, 518, 3.8+, UNC undergrad.

Yeah, interviewed in October.Indeed a head scratcher. So sorry. Did you apply at Brody?
Good luck! I bet you get in at Brody!Yeah, interviewed in October.
Sorry to hear the R wave. Hope you get into Brody and other schools. The rumor has been dispelled here (by someone who have been accepted to both) and would require some coordination between the two schools.pre-II R for me as well, IS
Maybe I'll get the A from Brody soon š¤I've heard the rumor that NC applicants only get in to one or the other, so who knows.

When did you submit your secondary?Pre-II R. IS, ORM, 518, 3.8+, UNC undergrad.

I was accepted with a 500 MCAT and low volunteering so I wouldnāt be too worried. This is reassuring because I also have some different ECs (though the unique ones aren't clinical) and low volunteering, and also felt good but not amazing about my interview earlier this week. Thanks for sharing!
@drdp69 congratulations that is awesome! Are you non-trad? Would be great if you could share your work/ECs. If I do need to reapply after masters this would be extremely helpful ! ThanksI was accepted with a 500 MCAT and low volunteering so I wouldnāt be too worried.
I sent a DM and got left on read. There are read receipts. But then I got accepted, so I guess it worked. But actually, I'm VERY confident they don't care. I wouldn't.So at my interview day they told us to send any thank-you notes through Attendify. Did anyone do that and how? I found my interviewer in Attendify and it looks like I can message them, but it feels odd to basically DM my interviewer lol
They actually told y'all to do that? I mean, if they told you to, then do it, but I guarantee they don't care, and tbh I'd be surprised if most of them even know how to check their messages on attendify. I didn't know how to do it until like a few weeks ago.So at my interview day they told us to send any thank-you notes through Attendify. Did anyone do that, and how? I just emailed my interviewer after my interview and got a response back and an A so I donāt think using email is a big deal eitherSo at my interview day they told us to send any thank-you notes through Attendify. All due respect...an MCAT of 500 is a very unusual number to receive an II, or an acceptance--you must have something considerable on your application! Maybe you had a lot of experience doing other work in health care. Either way..congrats! Nobody will ever care about those numbers again!I was accepted with a 500 MCAT and low volunteering so I wouldnāt be too worried.
Hoping they send out more decisions this week but who knows because of MLK today and the wave last week šand so it begins! Another week of me desperately refreshing my portal and waiting to hear back from admissions! *sighh*
Anxious we might have to wait another week because they convene on Mondays but yesterday was a national holiday šHow we doing, guys?
Same. My gut feeling is that they are going toAnxious we might have to wait another week because they convene on Mondays but yesterday was a national holiday š
I was accepted with a 505 MCAT, so it's definitely not unheard of. Like one of the current students said ,"UNC doesn't necessarily accept the highest ranking students, but they definitely accept the best students." š But yes, nobody will ever care about those numbers again, thank goodness...All due respect...an MCAT of 500 is a very unusual number to receive an II, or an acceptance--you must have something considerable on your application! Very true! I hope you are given the opportunity to join us as well!!A 65th percentile 505 is still a lot different from a 50th percentile 500, at least in my opinion. Even so, you're both clearly great applicants as evidenced by your acceptances! I only hope I can join you š
sent my interviewer a thanks in attendify and they haven't even seen it lmfao ā°ļøSo at my interview day they told us to send any thank-you notes through Attendify. Did anyone do that, and how? Hats off as a sign of respect āļøAll will happen in due time, continue to live your lives and donāt let this stress get to you. Wishing all you future doctors all the best. š¤š¼š¤š¼
Itās over for me for this cycle with UNC. Sad but got to move on! This was my dream schoolšš
I worked full-time for 5 years in healthcare with some of that working as a MA (so one-on-one with a physician). My ECs were pretty weak as well. I participated in college marching band and a music fraternity. I did complete the MED program through UNC during the summer 2019 which I contribute to by success.@drdp69 congratulations that is awesome! Are you non-trad? Current undergrad here, and I asked advising the same question. I was told to take Statistics again despite earning credit through my AP exam :/Hey all so just wondering about their pre-req requirments and I see that they don't accept AP credit anymore. Does that mean I have to take statistics over the summer if I get accepted prior to attending or will they waive that requirement if it's only one class?
Hm I just realized this too. I just had my interview here but I also have only taken AP statistics. The website says "If you are accepted, the acceptance is contingent upon successful completion of all required coursework and degree granting programs, therefore, all final official transcripts from all U.S. and Canadian institutions attended will need to be submitted by July 1st of the matriculating year for verification of successful completion of all requirements and coursework." Does this mean we need to have completed statistics by July 1st if we're accepted???Hey all so just wondering about their pre-req requirments and I see that they don't accept AP credit anymore. I think so. I don't mind taking it just the timing scares me if I can complete it by July 1st.Hm I just realized this too. I just had my interview here but I also have only taken AP statistics. another tricky part is that some people may not hear back soon enough by registration deadline. i guess you just schedule it in and then see....I think so. I don't mind taking it just the timing scares me if I can complete it by July 1st.
I havenāt taken statistics even though Iāve used it a lot in my past research and I have a math minor. They still told me I have to take it, and thus I just started my statistics class yesterday. Kind of annoying because itās the only class I needed and I graduated from undergrad 4 years ago.Hey all so just wondering about their pre-req requirments and I see that they don't accept AP credit anymore.
