Same. Secondary received 7/21, submitted on 7/27, and got complete email 8/15. IS. Non-trad. LM ~74.
Can I ask around what time you got it? Just curious if they send in batches or more "one by one"

I was also not marked complete for about 3 weeks. I called the Admissions Office to let them know and received an "Application Complete" email within a few hours!

I emailed them awhile back and they just said they’re still getting through them. Based on the turnaround for the above (complete to II) I think they actually review our secondaries before they send the complete email.

I would say so! My complete email actually came 2 and a half weeks after I submitted.
I think all VA schools are OOS friendly which sucks for us IS VA residents... All 3 schools here are VERY OOS friendly.
Which state (s) are most IS friendly? Is there any benefit of moving there?
If possible, move to Texas. 90% of the incoming class must be Texan by law.
I know there are a few schools around that only take in-state students also. Mercer in GA, I think a school in Mississippi, and maybe on in TN that I am aware of. Can probably search schools that only take in-state on MSAR.

I don't have any ties to the region, but one of my parents did do a non-MD graduate program there, so I guess I have more affiliation than the normal OOS?

Lol I submitted like 2 weeks ago and still haven't received complete email. I'm waiting for a week then sending an email asking whats up just to make sure everything is OK. But seems like they consider you "complete" after they review your secondary
If it helps, I submitted on 7/28 and they marked my app complete on 9/16 when I submitted my residency paperwork...

Oh man I had to prove my residency with a lot of pretty personal paperwork lol. I am in-state in VA, so they ask for proof in tax docs, car registration, drivers license, voter registration, etc.
sheesh, better get on that. Do you do it after you submit your app and its on the secondary portal I guess?
I actually got an email from an ad com asking for it all, and they requested I send it back as PDFs attached to an email for all the "YES" answers I gave on the secondary. I think they are having some trouble with their portal just based on the second link sent out and peoples' issues above with the pic, etc. Hope that helps. This is what they asked for in PDF form in case you want to get ahead of it:
Weird. I submitted 7/22, was complete 7/26, and have still not received anything about residency. I’m IS as well.
I submitted 8/2, was complete 8/2, and haven’t received anything about residency either. Also IS.
Submitted 7/28 and complete 8/16 officially per an email. I don't think they are going in order. I have not heard about a rejection or interview yet though. Nothing about this process makes sense at this point lol.
For those who were still curious, I combed through the prior years and it seemed that people who got completion really quickly mostly got R's. Thank god Spirit Halloween has started to open again because I needed to replenish all of my clown makeup for having hope.
UPDATE: I got an email this afternoon asking for the proof of residency documentation. So maybe I'll be complete after I submit that? This school makes no sense smh
Even though I’m an IS applicant, I got a complete email on 8/2 (submitted on 7/29) and I’ve yet to receive an email asking for my proof of residency. As you said, this school makes no sense
