Haha I would take that as good news. Things like that don't just happen randomly.
I hope it means good news is coming soon, I'm still waiting for an A!

I'm taking it in stride! I love all the neurotic conspiracy theories we create while waiting. 🙂Not trying to stress you out EmbryomalCarcinoma! I know this whole processes is anxiety inducing! Just curious!
I don't. Interviewed in October.I have the added tabs. Are there others who don't?
At least I'm in good company!Interviewed beginning of October. No new tabs... Its all over for me... The sky is falling...
You got my hopes up!The admissions portal is down. I'm guessing they send acceptances at 6 PM CST again.
Congratulations!I also have acceptance protocols/second look tabs added to my portal. Using my FBI/NSA secret agent skills, I scoured through internet archives of the acceptance protocols website, and it appears it is for accepted students, so I'm guessing that people who have this tab are accepted.
lol thanks but watch me be wrong. It could all just be a neurotic premed theory ahhahaCongratulations!
Yeah I don't want to eat my words. But the suspense is killing meeeeeeeeeeeelol thanks but watch me be wrong. It could all just be a neurotic premed theory ahhaha
Interviewed at the end of October, we were told that while there was a chance a few of us might hear back in November, most of us would likely be hearing back in February-March. No portal change for me.Any late-October interviewers have the portal change?
Yeah they really need to fix this issue for next year. Not a very classy move!I said I was taking it in stride, but I can’t with these hidden portal messages! Just rip off the band aid, Feinberg.
Bumping this for all those who have interviewed... did anyone send thank you's?So those who have interviewed... I know they said not to send thank you notes... but then they put your interviewers and their emails right on portal, so did y'all send them anyway?
They specifically said not to... I followed directions.Bumping this for all those who have interviewed... did anyone send thank you's?
Omg it was a test. The REAL interview. They specifically said not to... I followed directions.

Yes! The secret MMI post interview... a psychological test. 😉Omg it was a test. The REAL interview.
They did not say not to at my roomates interview, so it was inconsistent. Thats why I am asking. Love the nasty responses to a simple question though...from some I wouldn't expect too... SDN never fails to show true nature! They specifically said not to... I followed directions.
Im pretty sure @EmbryonalCarcinoma was just joking lolThey did not say not to at my roomates interview, so it was inconsistent. Thats why I am asking. Love the nasty responses to a simple question though...from some I wouldn't expect too... SDN never fails to show true nature!
I wasn't joking but I honestly wasn't trying to be nasty!Im pretty sure @EmbryonalCarcinoma was just joking lol
the matter of the truth is that if they told you not to do something, just don't do it. The same thing with UCSF. Strictly no contact with your interviewers.I wasn't joking but I honestly wasn't trying to be nasty!
This from the applicant who posts "what if you have absolutely nothing of substance for an update but you want to tactfully communicate how desperate you are?" Seriously?
And if they told some applicants to do something and others not, depending on the day and which admissions staff was speaking? Hmmmm... not so clear. And so, just for your info, my roommate DID write thank you notes, and they were accepted, warmly received, and he got a supportive response from all three interviewers. Maybe a little less snarkyness would be nice when responding to a reasonable question. At least I'm not asking, what does your portal say? when were you complete? is this a soft R? do I have a chance? and other complete nonsense asked every day on this formum over and over. I actually asked a real question. Thanks for your helpful response. Hope you get the same when you need it. P.S. Kindness is a doctor skill.the truth of the matter is that if they told you not to do something, just don't do it. The same thing with UCSF. Strictly no contact with your interviewers.
that's true. In the case of UCSF, they wrote that down in the packet they gave us. No.1 no contact with interviewers. And if they told some applicants to do something and others not, depending on the day and which admissions staff was speaking? Hmmmm... not so clear. ....can you please relax lol
from my interview day they said no thank you notes to the admissions office (bc they would have to add it to your file which meant more work) but did not say anything about contacting interviewers etc. I asked for emails from all of my interviewers and I think sending a thank you note will not count against you.

I'd probably attach it as a PDF. In the email, you could say something like "Hello, attached is my application update, thanks for your consideration" etc.For updates, should I include it as an attachment in the email or just as the email itself?
And if attachment, what should I put in the email?
Thank you!!I'd probably attach it as a PDF. In the email, you could say something like "Hello, attached is my application update, thanks for your consideration" etc.
Yes, it was about 48 hours later that I received an email confirmation for my update.for those that did send a pre-II update, did you get an email confirmation reply from them?

Tomorrow is my prediction as well! May the odds be ever in your favor!I have been browsing last year's Feinberg thread, and it appears that decisions were sent on Fridays at around 6pm Central Time. I'm hoping that means decisions/deferrals are released tomorrow. They could be released next week, but I hope that is less likely because of Thanksgiving.
