What rent running in Boston for a multi bedroom apartment?
For a bedroom in NYC or SF, it’s doable for about $1600.

Has anyone been invited to interview yet for “The Maine Track” through TUFTS?

I think the first Maine track interview date is oct 31

I was wondering if I could ask you about the post-acceptance process. Do we have to send in formal transcripts and dean certificates from undergrad? Is there a deposit required and if so, how much and what is the deadline after notified of acceptance? Also, is there a pre-matriculation drug test? Thanks
All of your questions are answered during the interview day. As for drug testing, if you have to ask the question, I would probably stop smoking pot now. Unless you have glaucoma, I'm not sure those few rips a week are worth not getting into med school. I will say that we do have drug testing at certain clerkship sites 3rd and 4th year so do with that info what you will.

Does anyone know if Tufts is receptive to in the area messages? I am traveling from far away and it would be great to combine trips, if possible.

rent in boston really depends on the area/how new the apartment is. Usually for apartments of 2+ bedrooms, for each person it's 600-1500. Of course usually 600 are old houses farther from transportation, etc, and above 1400 are usually the nice apartments that are clean, have things that work, and close to transportation.

Hey, I was wondering whether the curriculum is primary lecture based, TBL, or a combination of both? And what it the grading system?

Congrats! Also curious what you did to improve your app as your stats look great.

Beefed up clinical and nonclinical volunteering, but no change in metrics. Thank you!
You had very good stats. Just curious on how many hours you had when you applied last year in clinical and non clinical volunteering.

Did you just not get too many IIs? Curious bc your stats are great so I’d imagine you’d have more luck at getting a couple acceptances
Yep, I just had Tufts and a school I had no business going to (not even close to a mission fit). Probably due to light volunteering and mediocre essays, two things I vastly underestimated. Learn from my mistakes lol

Could anyone who’s already interviewed possibly speak to the overall experience? Did the day end at 4 or earlier/later?

Hey interviewed here earlier. Yes the day ends around 4 because it ends technically when your last interview ends which could run a bit over. If I remember there were also people who had earlier slots so they were finished earlier.
Overall the day was great! They do a really good job of packing in a TON of info about the school and provide snacks throughout. There’s also plenty of opportunities to ask questions so definitely think of some things you want to know. Good luck!

@ MD/MBA applicants, I submitted my MD application early August but have yet to complete my MBA app. I know they say that you have to get into the MD program before they consider your MBA application, but do you think it looks bad that I've still been working on my MBA app?

Ooof. Sorry fam. That's rough. Were you all complete in July? Just trying to schedule when I should buy some kleenex for my impending R...
