For EDP applicants, has anybody's portal updated yet to say their admission fee/ grad application is complete?

Grad App fee just showed up on the portal, but it still says my application is incomplete, anyone else have the same?

I have my interview scheduled for 10/02. Did not receive an email yet. But saw it updated on my portal. Should I wait for the official email prior to book flight?
Interview location is Northwest-Gary – Dunes Medical Professional Building, (3rd Floor) 3400 Broadway, Gary, IN 46408.
What is the closest airport to this location? I will be flying from Boston.

O’hare Or Midwest in Chicago

Is anybody else not able to see where/when their interview is? Confused if I should wait for that to populate in or if I should email them because it says to respond within 7 days.
With mine, I was able to see it under Interview on the portal, then they sent me the email. I think you should wait for it to populate before giving them a call/email tomorrow.

For the ones who had interview already or about to have one, do you have any info regarding the student hosting program?

Congrats!!! I got the same interview!
And I saw that the Gary/Chicago International Airport is the closest one which is a 15-20 minute drive on google maps

OOS here and no II yet. What’s SCP?

Scholarly Concentrations Program. They started this early-decision program for people who wanted to apply for regional campuses with a particular curricular focus in a specific area. It seems like a lot of OOS are getting IIs now so I'm getting antsy but it seems like they're mostly those SCP applicants cause I think they try to notify them of As by December.

Yup. I guess they put me in the campus they felt best fit me... I never applied for SCP

Interesting...so you think you'll have to attend the evansville campus if accepted? I thought they offered accepted student their campus preference

I’m confused about that as well! But I thought it was because they try to accommodate the interviews with the limited dates they have so they space it out in the campuses?

Asked to fill out the scholarly concentration, spent time to fill it out, and then rejected a month later. Kinda salty ngl
@achilles0619 @Jeremy Bearimy

Did y'all's rejection emails have the phrase "We regret to inform you that your record does not make it possible for us to include your application in the group selected for further consideration" in them?

Yep! The "your record does not make it possible" is a tad rude, but okay lol

Hey! A few questions. What was interview day like? Did you find out long afterwards what their decision was? Also, what sort of questions do they ask and is it a relaxed vibe?

Hey! Apologies for the late response, we had our first exam today so it was a busy week!

Interview day was decently chill.. I definitely feel like the chillness depends on your personality and if you’re nervous/chatty. I interviewed at the Indianapolis campus as well so I’m unsure of the other campuses.

Interview check in takes place in the Van Nuys building and when you walk in, there will be standing tables and then seating lining the wall. I didn’t really talk a whole lot to anyone since I was a bit nervous and hadn’t had an interview yet at that point.

When you check in, they will give you a sheet that has your interviewers name and the room that you’ll need to go to for the interview. Depending, you may need to walk somewhere. After, or maybe before depending on your interview time, you’ll have a financial aid session as well.

In terms of the interview itself, I DO think it depends on your interviewer how relaxed it feels. The questions that I recall from my interview were things like “who do you think is the most important person on a medical team”, “what’s a time where you sacrificed something” and one that was more standard was “tell me about your leadership roles if you have any not mentioned in your application”. In general, I feel like those questions aren’t ridiculous to answer and generally easy to answer... but my interviewer was very hard to read so I left feeling okay but not like I really made the connection I had with been hoping for lol. She didn’t really smile or laugh and I’m a pretty outgoing person so not having any verbal/emotive feedback made me worried lol. It’s not required to become best friends with them in 30 minutes but there is typically a “vibe”... ya know? 😛

Also! I think some people had more than one interviewer. I only had one but I think some people got 2, so be prepared for that!l if you’re granted an interview.

Now... the wait. I just checked my emails and I was officially waitlisted on April 18th and I interviewed on January 9th. So it was a few anxious months. After interviews, I had a pretty good idea of WHEN I’d be hearing back (at the earliest) so when people from my interview date started to get accepted and I hadn’t gotten any information, I definitely thought it was over. After that, I just didn’t hear anything so I assumed I would just get the rejection email once their school had started so I honestly just kind of marked IUSM as a loss and started thinking about reapplication. I didn’t hear back for a longgg time after getting waitlisted... so long that I had actually already gotten into a masters program and MOVED to Philadelphia... but that’s a story for another day lol.

On JULY 23rd, I got called that I had been accepted off the waitlist. Orientation started 1 week and 1 day after I was called and I had to accept or decline by 5pm that day (JEEZ!). I had already signed an apartment lease, my boyfriend had found a job and I had already had my loan money for the year disbursed... BUT I accepted and moved a second time within the week.

This was a lot of information but I always prefer more than less in terms of information so there you go haha. I hope this was helpful and if you have anything else, feel free to ask!
