I am having trouble filling out the graduate application online. I cant find the school of medicine.
When I log in, it only gives me the option to do for PhD.
Has anyone filled out theirs already?
 
It literally took me 5 years to find the right program on the app lol. Try filtering for all past, present, and future programs, that’s the only way it popped up for me
 
question- is the portal only available after an II? I never saw a portal

@kschaef I actually put that I didn't have any to list. I called and I was told that I would have to ask the office of graduate admissions because it was more to do with whether or not the application itself needed that part filled out to proceed.

Hey all. I am interviewing in Indy on the 11th and im flying in the 10th. Wondering if anyone wants to hang out the day before or maybe after the interview.
 
Is anyone else who applied for a scholarly concentration (after being invited to do so) still still not receive an interview invite?
 
Did anyone put in their GPAs and actually copy and paste their AMCAS stuff into Achievements?

I haven't but I also literally just submitted before the 09/01 deadline. Is it pretty common that most of us who were invited to apply will be interviewed..?
 
Does anyone know what interview-style this school does? Interviewing in a week and finding it hard to gather information. It looks to be 2 one-on-one interviews, can someone confirm?

There is just one interview, you may only have one interviewer but some people I knew had two interviewers (both faculty members). You should be prepared to answer questions about your experiences and why you want to go to IU as well as competency questions (ethical scenarios). Just google “medical school interview ethical questions” and you should find some good scenarios to practice with.

Finally, I forgot they said to not put your MCAT score... do you think this will negatively impact me?

I sent the dean's evaluation to the dean of students office at my university and they physically mailed it (pretty sure you can't mail it yourself)

The graduate fee is through the IU CAS graduate application portal yes.

Hi everyone! I completed the Graduate Application and paid the Fee a few days ago, and received an confirmation email, but I still haven't gotten any information since then. Also, when I go to the Applicant portal, it says that the fee has not been paid. Has anyone else had similar issues to this? How long after you completed the Graduate Application did you get a notification about interview dates?

Interview dates for some applicants went out before the notification of the graduate application, so I do not believe they're dependent upon each other. In other words, the people who had their interviews scheduled didn't have their graduate application finished. I don't think anyone can really say how long after you pay the fee to expect an interview date. Also, I have paid the graduate application fee, had my interview, and the portal did not change to show that my application was complete and that I had paid my fee.

I called the office and they said that they do indeed have to go in and manually update the portal for the grad app

Mine still says that the graduate application fee has not been processed yet either, so you aren’t alone in that! I’m still waiting for a date too
 
Does anyone know if we need to upload transcripts in the colleges section of the grad app?

Hey! A few questions. What was interview day like? Did you find out long afterwards what their decision was? Also, what sort of questions do they ask and is it a relaxed vibe?
 
The instructions for the MD graduate application say: "If your employer is not located in the state where you physically work, please list your actual location of employment rather than the home office of your employer. For example, if you work for a Florida company in a local hospital, PLEASE list the local address on your Graduate School application in the employment section."

I can't find the employment section anywhere. Does anyone else have this problem?
 
Just realized they suggest shadowing a minimum of three physicians, but I've only shadowed one. I've been a scribe and medical technician though, working with many different physicians, so I was wondering if they would accept that instead? Also wondering if they accept any updates pre-II in case I need to add some more shadowing experience?

When did they accept you off the waitlist? How long did they leave you hanging for?
 
I wasn't able to select a campus preference for an interview...did I miss that section on the graduate application or is it not there anymore?
 
Is anyone's portal updating? Mine has not for basically anything besides the things that update instantly
 
I submitted my secondary a day after it was released and it still says on my portal that the graduate app fee hasn’t been paid. Is there something I need to be doing to make sure my app doesn’t get cancelled? Or should I just wait and see?

I called them last week and they said they had to manually update the portal so that might take time.
 
Any recent Scholarly Concentration IIs? Submitted mine 8/27 and radio silence
 
How are we supposed to create the Graduate Application? Like do we just create a new account and enter our info? Basically I'm confused how they know our Graduate Application is connected to our MD Supplemental Application. Like is there a place to enter our AMCAS ID or something?
 
My portal just updated today with the Dean's Evaluation and LOR's checked now. LOR's were submitted with my primary, and my school mailed the Evaluation out last Monday.

Still awaiting checks on Grad Fee paid, Prereq's met, and App complete. Just wanted to give a quick update for those also waiting to get things checked off on their portal - they seem to be making progress! Now just hoping that those with SCP invites get their dates assigned soon 🙂

I paid mine last Friday and still has not updated. I think as long as we submitted before the 10th, we'll be good
 
Has anyone heard back about interview dates recently ~1 week? Are they still sending them out or are they waiting or what?
