How long, on average, did it take for CASPer results to be sent to IU? I am taking CASPer tomorrow and I have my interview coming up soon. I was told that everything had to be in within 28 days of my interview. I'm worried that CASPer will take more than the time I have been given to get those results in.

CASPER says that it takes 3 weeks. But it only took 2 weeks for me before I got a notification saying they were complete and sent

Is there any way to check up on the status of your application?

I was wondering if anyone could clarify how campus placements works. Can anyone transfer to Indianapolis for the last two years regardless of the campus they were placed at?

I think that's possible as long as you don't do an SCP. They told us during the interview that SCP people have to stay at their regional campus for all four years

To anyone who has interviewed already: were you given any insight on when to expect a decision notice?

EDP applicants will be notified by October 1st. October 15th is the first day any med school can accept you. I think IU usually sends acceptances around the 15th of every month. So if you’ve already interviewed, the earliest you could get one is the 15th if you’re regular decision

Yep, I'm aware! I was just wondering if anyone had heard a more specific timeframe from their interview. I have not interviewed yet.

What is the curriculum like at IU? I have been scouring the website but it wasn’t very clear

Still waiting on my interview date, was invited 8/14.... I was super excited about this program but honestly not so much anymore lol

wow thats crazy. i havent heard a single thing since submitting my app lol

Does anyone know if the September interviews were just for EDP? I interview on 10/2, and wasn’t sure if this is the first round of interviews for regular decision. Also wondering if 10/2 interviewees will make the 10/15 review, or have to wait until November!

My friend interviewed the middle of September for regular decision

Have any accepted EDPers found out how to rank campus preferences in the portal?

Does Indiana accept publication updates? if so, how?

Just got invited to go complete a second interview, this time for the scholarly concentration program specifically. So I will be going to my chosen outlying campus of instead of going to Indy. They offered me two possible dates, one next week and one two weeks out.

Oh wow, I really appreciate you posting this! I applied SCP as well, and given that my II was in Indy I assumed I had already been rejected from the priority placement program. Looks like I might still be in the running for that! I assume your Indy interview was strictly a traditional one then without mention of your SCP?

Does this mean you have to fly out to Indiana twice?

which scp did they offer it to you for?

Health Systems Science, Fort Wayne.

However, I am looking at the webpage for the SCPs and they changed Fort Wayne's to be "Health integration and healthy aging?" But if you click on healthy aging it still brings you to the old page about health systems?? And there are now statewide concentration options??? I'm confused.

It's still listed as Health Systems Science on the main priority placement SCP page ( Scholarly Concentrations | MD Program | IU School of Medicine ). You are looking at the regular concentration page. Perhaps it is different?

Has anyone else who sent a primary here not gotten an interview yet or gotten an interview date and is instate?

@Yellowfire Yes, this means I have to travel out there a second time. For people not in driving distance the extra hassle will be a pretty big deal.
Thanks for the heads up. Can other OOS SCP people confirm if this is the case? I’m hoping they take our OOS status into account...flying out twice really puts a burden on my budget....

I’m OOS and applied SCP, been waiting almost 2 months for an interview date so I’m assuming I’ll just be interviewing at my campus! Seems like this situation is rare

I'm an OOS SCP applicant and only interviewed one date

When i had my interview at FW they said that they were just changing the SCP name so that it was more representative of the concentration since health system sciences as a whole is a very broad topic! Hope that helps with the confusion!

Thank you for sharing that! That's helpful to know.

Nonetheless, with the name change I am perhaps even more unclear on what the concentration is all about than I was before. Not really sure what I am gonna say when they ask me "So why are you interested in this scholarly concentration?" It seems like maybe it is essentially a geriatrics concentration?

At this point I'm kind of wondering if I could withdraw from the SCP program without it effecting my overall chances of admission. I'm not particularly interested in geriatrics, and they sure didn't tell me that's what I was actually signing up for.

Hi guys silly question. It seems like they sent a ton of IIs out in August and I haven’t seen anyone get new ones since (just dates assigned). Do they offer more waves throughout the cycle or was the bulk done in August?

I received an II just early last week, so it seems there will be more waves!

I see it now on the Offer Response tab after I click the "Accept Offer" button, but when I try to click submit I get an error message, anyone else have the same issue?
I am having the same issue. It says "Saved. Form unable to submit."

For those who have interviewed, have you gotten an email saying your application is complete and now ready for review?

Yeah, I got an email like that on 09/23, after an interview on 09/11.
