2019-2020 Tufts

Yikes I'm nervous.. was complete 7/10, LM 69 so a little surprised I wasn't in that first wave immediately.

Has Tufts been known to reject in waves or do they sprinkle rejections throughout the cycle?

+1. This hurts a bit. Tufts was one of my top schools if I decided to traverse all the way to the East Coast. Oh well. Good luck to the rest of you 🙂
sorry to hear! Were you waitlisted for an interview before the R?

FWIW, I was done with everything by 7/15. However, I didn't receive my last LOR until 8/20. So I guess I was complete at the end of August? Not sure.

Any hope of receiving an II if you were complete close to mid-July? I’m definitely within the dates that have been rejected so just wondering if I should just mentally take the L?

Avoided the R wave but still no news from Tufts. Considering adding the Maine track to my application now. Will this change my application to only be considered for Maine track or just in addition to regular MD? Does anyone have any suggestions whether I should do this or not?

If there was no chance of you getting an II why wouldn’t they have rejected you? You’ve still got a chance for sure!

LOL sorry neuroticism getting the best of me. I feel like the wave usually ends everyone's chances between the dates axed. Maybe my R date will be tomorrow

Damn today was a bloodbath of Rs here. I got one too (complete late 7/12, OOS, LM 68).

I was telling some buddies they should have had their final sentence in the email be "Tuft luck."
Honestly, I would respect Tufts so much if they did that.

If you're going to murder us, at least do it with style.

If you’re from Maine yes. They heavily favor Maine applicants for the program.

Are you interested in practicing primary care in a rural area? Do you have a significant connection to Maine? If you are interested in those things and are excited to spend the majority of your medical school experience in Maine, submit an application. If you're not, I wouldn't. It is a mission-driven program and in no way will "help" you get accepted unless you are a good fit. People who are not selected for the Maine Track program II get put back in the general Tufts applicant pool.

If you're not rejected, you're still in the running, but there's no guarantees. Last year they left a bunch of people with no information until like March before sending out rejections...

Niceeeeeeee

Anyone that’s interviewed or knows Boston well - I’m interviewing soon and staying at a hotel on Boston street..

What’s the best way for me to get to the school in the morning? How bad is traffic?

Also does anyone know if the interviews here are open or closed file?

Does anyone know if Tufts explicitly reviews apps chronologically (like BU does)? Complete mid-August here and went to undergrad in the greater Boston area. Trying not to get antsy.
