Looking forward to interview here this week. For those who interviewed already, how was your experience?

super chill day I would say! The only thing is i think you get less interactions with students then other interviews I’ve been with so when you get your chance during lunch/ the tour make sure you ask away. Good luck!

I was put on hold and am considering sending an update/interest letter. Not sure if this is useless or not. What do you think?

Great interview experience overall imo...they give you a map where your two interviews are located, but definitely go early/ask for help if needed to find the offices. I have volunteered at the hospital and still had trouble finding one of the tucked away offices. Also the student who led my tour showed us a few locations and then opened it up to see if we had any special locations we wanted to see, so perhaps think ahead if there is anything specific that you'll want to tour. Best of luck!!!

Just got a... Second hold email? It was identical from the one I got last month lmao

Just out of curiosity, why is MD your top choice?

The MD/MS program in Cellular and Molecular Biomedical sciences has a focus on creating physicians for the genomic era which is what I am passionate in. I love the city and felt at home each time that I have visited and have a couple of friends who already live there. My SO currently lives in DC so the proximity to her is essential. I loved the school on my interview day and felt that my interactions with faculty were very welcoming.

Thanks for sharing!! I’m having trouble forming an opinion on the school because I’ve lived in MD my whole life, but I did have a great time at my interview.

I don't see a withdraw option in the portal.
Anyone know how to withdraw from an interview?

I completed my app on August 2nd and haven't heard back yet. Can't imagine it's a good sign either 🙁 Sorry about the R!
I also sent a significant update back in November, but who knows if they read it or not.

Any female applicants interviewing on January 8th want to split a hotel room for the night of the 7th and/or 8th? I have one booked within walking distance of the school with an extra bed. Please message me if interested!

I was put on hold a couple weeks ago, just checked my portal and says "Under Review". Does it say this because of the first time review or is this them rechecking my application post hold?

I was never on hold but i checked my portal like 3 hours before my II and it said “under review for interview” i remember it specifically saying that cause I was like huh I’m in danger. I don’t know if that helps at all.

Status page, under "app complete" there is an "interview" line beside which it says "under review" - hopefully that makes sense
